    TheLearningCentresarerequestedtonotethechangesintheprocessofswipingthedebit/credit

    cardseffectivefrom25.03.2013,inviewofrevisedguidelinesofReserveBankofIndia.

    1. AllexistingEDCmachineswillbedisconnected from thePC interfaceandwillhave to beconnectedtoastandardtelephoneline(asusedtobeearlierdoneforAxisBankEDC).

    2. HDFCpersonnelwillprogressively replace the Innovitisoftware in theEDCmachinewithHDFCs software starting from 25

    thMarch 2013.Once this is completed, the EDC canbe

    connected to the telephone line and transactions canbeprocessed.HDFCpersonnelwill

    completethisactivityonorbeforethe31stofMarch2013.Hencetherewillbeadisruption

    ofswipetransactionsstarting25th

    MarchtillHDFCpersonnelcompletetheactivityatyour

    learning centre. Please do not attempt to process swipe transactions tilltheHDFCpersonnelhavecompletedtheaboveactivity.

    a. Effectivefrom 25th March2013,thefollowingprocesswillapplyforallEDCswipes(as

    and

    when

    the

    new

    system

    is

    in

    place

    at

    the

    Centre).

    The

    LCs

    will

    process

    all

    activities (Fresh,Reregistration,Resittingandother student services) inmy zone

    portalasbeingdonecurrently.

    i. On clicking Pay or Verified and confirmed, my zone portal opens thepaymentpagewithpaymentoptionsvis.DemandDraft,Swipe,Credit/Debit

    andNetBanking.

    ii. To enterdetailsof Swipe transactions, click on swipe and adata capturepageopenswithdetailsofthestudent,program,semesterandfeespayable.

    iii. At this stage the LCs are required to swipe the card in the EDCmachineconnectedtothestandardtelephonelineandgeneratethechargeslip.

    iv. Detailsofthepaymenthavetobeenteredasprintedin thechargeslipandcontinue

    with

    the

    standard

    process

    for

    completing

    the

    payment

    process

    in

    theportal.

    v. TheLChastomaintainthesignedcopyofchargeslipforfuturereferenceasandwhenrequiredbytheBank/Universityforallthetransactions.

    vi. Incaseoffreshadmissions,thesignedcopyofchargesliphastobeattachedtotheadmissionform,whiledispatchingtotheUniversity.

    vii. Charge slip will also get generated for unsuccessful or timed outtransactions,withamessageprintedonthechargeslip.Hencepropercarehastobetakentogetthesignatureonlyforsuccessfultransactions.

    viii. Incaseofunsuccessfultransactions,theLChastore swipethecard andenterthe paymentdetails after thetransaction issuccessful.

    ix. IT IS MANDATORY to do batch closure of all swiped transactions failingwhich the amountwill notgetcredited to Universitys Account andsuchstudentsformwillnotgetapproved.

    3. AManualdetailingtheabovestepsisuploadedintheLCportalandstudentsportal.4.There is no change in the process for all other modes of

    paymentviz.DD,NetbankingandPaymentGateway5. TheCashManagementSystemforDDcollectionwillcontinueasitisbeingdonetoday.
