It has been 1 year since the earthquake in Haiti. Four students in Mrs. Hornyak's 3rd grade class made a powerpoint and asked the students to help make a change for Haiti by saving their change. Money will be given to the American Red Cross.

The Haiti earthquake happened on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
The earthquake
Homeless in HaitiAn estimated 1,000,000 people have been made homeless by the earthquake.
Poorest people1,500,000 are still living in tent cities.
Children across Haiti lost parents in the earthquake
are now being raised by single parents, distant
relatives, or family friends.
It could take as much as $14 billion to rebuild the damaged areas.
Porte-au-Prince's population is 2,000,000
