Purpose

The Championship Committee tried to find a clear and sustainable solution to the ever-changing Belgian Championship formats and timings. We hope to have found some guidelines that could be used for the following 5 years. Afterwards, the formats and timings proposed should be re-evaluated because the Ultimate scenery might be changing again.

Outdoor Championships (1)

• Biggest issues with the current format were• With the growing Frisbee community, there are no places big enough to host all

the divisions• Very hard to change divisions, even if you are out-of-place where you are• A lot of returning games, some of the teams had to face each other 3 times

during one BUOC

• New format solved these issues• Every division could be played at a different location, no cross-overs• If you deserve to rise a divisions, you have now 6 games to prove it instead of 1

crucial game at the end of an exhausting tournament• Teams won’t play the same team 3 times and will normally in the second

weekend have games that are really interesting

Based on the results of BUOC 2015, these would be the starting divisions in 2016

Outdoor Championships (4)

• 2nd weekend• The top 4 of the 1st division have either the weekend off or they play 3 long

games for double points against each others (like this year)• All other teams are again put in divisions of 7 teams

• Teams ranked 5-6-7 of division X will join teams 1-2-3-4 of division X+1• Round Robin for placement in total ranking

• Teams that at the end of this weekend are ranked 5th and 6th in the total ranking will gain a ticket for the “Finals weekend”• Divisions the year after are based on the “Finals Rankings” at the end of the

BUOC
