CHAIR MESSAGE
Mission Statement “To facilitate, advocate and cultivate opportunities for the Lisle Area Business
Community”
Dear Fellow Chamber Members,
Wow! What a start to the new year! On January 16th the
Lisle Area Chamber hosted the State of the Village General
Membership Luncheon during which members of the Village
of Lisle leadership spoke about the current and future
growth of Lisle, the development of a strong, balanced
budget to support infrastructure development and core
Villages responsibilities, and focused on a creating a
sustainable future for Lisle. The State of the Village presentation set the
stage for our area’s businesses to support the Village’s growth vision.
I encourage you to visit www.villageoflisle.org to hear the State of the
Village presentation.
How are you coming on the challenge we set for you in January? If you
recall, the challenge was to: 1. Facilitate new business opportunities for your
fellow Chamber members, 2. Advocate for consumers to support Lisle area
and Chamber member businesses and 3. Cultivate new relationships that
may turn into future business opportunities. I’d love to hear your stories!
Please email me ([email protected]) your Chamber
experiences and highlights from the challenge.
The Chamber has an exciting few months ahead of us! I encourage each of
you to take full advantage of the events offered to you by the Chamber. On February 7th, William Strauss, Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve
Bank of Chicago, will provide his views on the economy at a Multi-
Chamber Luncheon and Business Expo at Ashyana Banquets, in Downers
Grove.
Register today for the Lisle Area Chamber’s largest event of the year –
An Evening in Paris, Ooh La La Lisle – an evening filled with amazing dancers
from the Lisle area business community and a silent auction! I look forward
to seeing each of you at these events!

AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT - Robin Somers
Robin Somers of Heartland is this month’s featured Ambassador. Robin has been a
Lisle Area Chamber member since September of 2019 and she has just recently joined the Ambassador Committee. She is also involved in the LINCT Committee (Leadership
In Networking Committee Team). At Heartland, Robin is a Relationship Manager.
She builds and establishes their client base and helps business owners with Heartland’s
suite of business solutions. Robin has been with Heartland for a year. Robin lives in
Naperville and has lived there for 10 years with her husband of almost 20 years, and
their 17 year old daughter and 15 year old son and their dog Cozmo.
Robin enjoys being an Ambassador because she gets to meet new
business owners and learn what they do. Her bit of wisdom that she
would like to impart is that hard work and persistency pays off
eventually.
