Welcome to the 2018–19 Chamber Music Concert Series.

Renewed vitality has swept through Kettle’s Yard since it reopened with its wonderful new spaces in February 2018. The music programme keeps tempo with a diverse and exciting season of fifteen chamber recitals to enjoy in this much-loved venue, starting in October.

We bring you variety in many forms: there are faces familiar and new, established and rising stars, musical favourites alongside carefully chosen newer or less-known pieces.

We are delighted with the line-up we have for you. You can catch up with the Sacconi Quartet, Nicholas Daniel and his Britten Oboe Quartet, the Schubert Ensemble Strings, Piatti Quartet and Isimsiz Trio. Look out for recitals by a string of award-winning young artists: violist Jennifer Stumm, violinist Savitri Grier and the Maxwell String Quartet. We have invited three exceptional pianists to enjoy the Steinway after its restoration – Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula, Ivana Gavric and Clare Hammond – all substantially younger than the piano! Another special treat is baritone Milan Siljanov, 2015 winner of the Wigmore Hall Song Competition, singing Schubert’s Winterreise.

The spirit of diversity is amply embodied by this season’s resident artists, the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, co-founded by local pianist Tom Poster and the violinist Elena Urioste. They are committed to showcasing talented artists of all backgrounds, and female as well as male composers, thoughtfully brought together in a series of programmes that sparkle with colour appropriate to their name.

Our loyal supporters know the benefits of subscribing to all Chamber Music Concerts. With a subscription ticket you can save £90 over the year. Please turn to the back page for information.

I hope you will join me for another memorable season in this very special place. I look forward to welcoming you.
