IDEA: Crystal Bell swimming race – an international summer event of friendly swimming race for the wild swimmers competing for the Crystal Bell’s award.

Why Crystal Bell? First of all, bell is the symbol of Bled, a legend. Secondly, ‘crystal’ means clean, fresh, transparent, natural, friendly to nature, so Crystal Bell as a whole represents Bled destination as clean and nature-saving, green, which is the perfect message for all the visitors and tourists.

BASIC DESCRIPTION: This event, held each summer in Bled, is open for public and friendly competition for adventurers, amateurs and professionals of wild swimming – swimming in the lakes, rivers, wild natural destinations – who gather to compete in the Bled lake and to win the legendary bell.

PROCESS: the race with the swimmers would start at the particular place and as they start swimming they must collect special marks from each ‘stop-point’ boat and continue swimming to reach another ‘stop-point’ boat. The winner is the swimmer who is the first in collecting all the special marks and gets the award – The Crystal Bell. The winner would be announced at the awards ceremony held on the island.
