HOW DOES THE POPE MAINTAIN POWER OVER THE LANDS?

The pope is first elected or chosen to rule over the Vatican back in Italy. He has mostly the same jobs as the king but more religiously but still the king and the pope rule at the same time in an empire and sharing the power. The pope first assigns bishops and archbishops for more help just like the lord and his vassal in order to help organize throughout the empire. Then in order to keep people praying and helping Christianity grow he builds many church and big and small areas or also cities and then appoints priests for each church built. Then for holy people of the church also known as the monks and nuns or for whoever wants to become one he build monasteries and then assign abbots and abbesses to rule over them. Popes also can establish an army in order to protect their lands and to keep is ruling in shape and to help his empire. That’s how the pope rules over his empire.
