1. Supported Operating Systems Supported: Windows™ 7, Windows™ 8.1, Windows™ 10

2. System Requirements .NET Framework 4.5 is required — this is already installed on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. If not already installed on Windows 7, the CC Client Installer will install it during the installation process.

3. Installation Procedure — New Installation

Download CCClient_Setup_2.0.10.exe from https://connectioncenter.3m.com/ccclient

This software is necessary to enable data transfer between the 3M™ True Definition Scanner and the computer hosting your dental design software.

Execute: CCClient_Setup_2.0.10.exe. After execution, user access control will appear, click yes.

It’s possible that .NET-Framework 4.5 has not been installed on Windows 7 computers. In that case, it will be installed by the CC Client Installer and the following three windows will appear (Figures 1–5). This may take several minutes to execute — please be patient.

Note: These windows won’t appear for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 because .NET-Framework 4.5 is already installed.

The following screens will appear (Figures 6–9).

Press “Install”to connect the 3M™ Connection Center Tray Application (Figures 10–11).

The network shared folder will be displayed. Use this folder for the Chairside-Connection-Settings on the 3M™ True Definition Scanner (Figures 12–13).

If the following message (Figure 14) is displayed (Windows 8.1 / Windows 10), click “More info”, then select “Run anyway”.

Installation of CC Client — New Installation (cont.)

Installation Procedure — Updating from Existing Version to Version 2.0.1 The installation is similar to a “New Installation” with the following differences:

• The selection of the CAD software (Figure 7) does not show up because CAD software from the former installation will be automatically selected.

• The Network Shared Folder Information (Figure 14) does not show up because the shared folder from the former installation remains unchanged (i.e. it is not necessary to change the Chairside-Connection-Settings on 3M™ True Definition Scanner).

CAD Software — Activation / Deactivation After Installation To change the selection of the appropriate CAD software

which should be supported by CC Client, open the context-menu of the 3M™ Connection Center Tray Application by right-clicking on the symbol in the notification area / system tray. Choose “Output Formats” (Figure 18), then select / deselect the appropriate formats (Figure 19). Figure 18

Configuring 3M™ True Definition Scanner to Connect to the Chairside Design StationOnce CC Client is installed and the design station has a dedicated IP address (static IP) or Network Computer Name, proceed to connect your True Definition Scanner to the design station.

1. Activate the Chairside Design Station destination on the True Definition Scanner. From the home screen, select Management.

a. Once Management is selected, choose Destinations on the left side of the screen.

b. Once Destinations is selected, highlight the Chairside Design Station — the Destination will turn blue. Once highlighted, select De/Activate to change the status of lab from inactive to active.

2. Once the Destination is active on the 3M™ True Definition Scanner, the Chairside connection will need to be completed. To complete from the Management > Settings screen, select Chairside on the left side of the screen.

a. After Chairside is selected, click on New to create a new chairside connection.

b. Once New is selected, the Connection Settings will be available on the right of the 3M™ True Definition Scanner screen.

c. All fields need to be complete in the Connection Settings on the True Definition Scanner. Select the text box under Connection Name. This field will show up on the Rx screen when filling out the Rx for a scanned case. Example: Dr Chairside. Once name is entered, click OK.

d. Then click on Associated Destination and select the Chairside Design Station lab.

e. The next field is for Network Computer Name or IP Address. Enter the Network Computer name or the Static IP address, then click OK.

f. Once completed, click on the text box under Network Shared Folder, enter “TrueDefImport”, the click OK.

g. The next two fields are for the username and password associated with the network computer or the IP address of the computer that will be connected with the 3M™ True Definition Scanner. Enter the username and the network password, then click Save.

h. Once saved, click Test to confirm that the scanner is properly setup. The design station must be powered on for the test to be successful.
