Chadstone Food Forest “An Open Access Community Garden”

Tasks include: Mulching out grasses, Hand weeding, Planting trees, herbs, seeds and seedlings, Harvesting, (Help in the group gardening sessions to share the harvest) Discussing our plans, etc.

Location: Batesford Reserve, Chadstone. Up the hill, behind the Waverley Basketball Centre

When: Every Tuesday & First Sunday of the month (See dates below)

Time: From 3.30pm in the cooler months /no daylight savingsFrom 5.30pm during daylight savings

Come late or leave early if you like. Note: With light rain we still garden,with raincoats, etc. (We have a shelter) With heavy rain or extreme heat (over 35°C , 30 min before our gardening session) we cancel .

Chadstone Food Forest - Vision: To build a more resilient and ecologically responsible communityMission: The Chadstone Food Forest (CFF) aims to develop part of Batesford Reserve in Chadstone to

produce food and provide other ecological services using Permaculture design principles and strategies. We will involve many individuals and groups to contribute to the development of this reserve and our hope is

that this site will develop into an educational environmental park.
