1. What is a watershed?A watershed is a region drained by, or one that contributes water to, a stream, lake, or other body of water.

Some major streams in the Erie Basin are Conneaut, Elk, & Walnut Creeks, all of which drain north into Lake Erie. The Genesee Basin’s major tributary is the Genesee R., which flows into Lake Ontario.
