Cetix BOP Control Unit; BCU, is used with wireline and other well intervention operations.
The BCU is manufactured as a hydraulic power unit with pneumatic and electrical components controlled by a PLC. The user interface is based on a touch screen with user friendly operation process screens. The combination of the selected components will secure the required operation for well intervention BOP in normal and emergency operations.
Cetix BCU is an enclosed design with all equipment located inside the skid enclosure. The container has folded doors to ensure low footprint when located in contained areas.
Cetix BCU is equipped with two main high pressure systems, hydraulic and grease. The grease pressure system is equipped with a high pressure grease pump controlled by the control system. The pressure setting is operator controlled with pressure feedback to operator whereas the grease system has a grease reservoir with level indications. The hydraulic system is equipped with three high pressure lines, connected to an accumulator bank with 5 accumulators. The accumulators are installed on a common stand in the short end of the unit. The accumulator pre-charge pressure can be inspected, also during operations. Cetix BOP control lines are controlled by the operator where pressure and valve status are available.
the BoP can be operated from:
• Touch screen HMI• Emergency remote panel• Manual handle on control valves
In addition, a hand pump can be used to close rams in case of full system and accumulator failure. Service and operational data are available through the user-friendly LCD operator panels. Main equipment and consumables are standard components. This ensures easy maintenance and availability of spares.

As standard, Cetix Waverunner™ has a redundancy in motors, gears and brakes which allow for ROV recovery operation even if a major component fails. Cable outlet is on top of the drum, adjustable from -12° to +37 ° from horizontal vector. Cetix Waverunner™ can also be delivered with a transversal spooling outlet with a spooling sheave which maintains the minimum bending radius of the umbilical.
CetiX Waverunner™ have four Different moDeS of oPeration:
• Normal mode; used during lowering and hoisting of the ROV
• Low tension mode; used to hold a constant low tension against the A frame when the ROV/TMS is docked
• Active Heave Compensation mode; used to ease the ROV docking in the ROV-hangar/TMS during subsea operations. The control system has a built in “soft mode change” between all modes to avoid sudden rapid movement in the system
• Auto dive mode; used to dive to a pre-set depth set by the operators
BraKing: The braking energy is either absorbed by the braking resistors or optionally fed back to the supplying power system by the Cetix AFE solution (Active Front End). The braking resistors will be delivered to suit the installation either as air or water cooled. The resistors are suited for installation in safe or hazardous area. The AFE solution is an option where braking energy is fed back to the power system in a controlled manner.
The AFE solution will reduce the harmonic content in the line supply and comply with all requirements of emission of electrical noise.
oPerator PanelS:Each Cetix Waverunner™ is delivered with one local control panel and one remote control panel. Each control panel has a touch monitor integrated for easy readouts and settings of the necessary parameters. A maintenance software module may be integrated into the system. Wireless local control panel is optional. Another beneficial option is Cetix WT tracking system, logging the wear and tear of the umbilical.
CETIX WAVERUNNER™
The different types of Cetix Waverunner™ are designed to cover the requirements for observation and work class ROV‘s. Each Waverunner™ has several options to fit our customers’ project requirements. The winches are designed to increase safety, reliability and to extend the operational weather window.
Cetix can offer tailor-made winches designed for projects with special requirements where the standard types of Cetix Waverunner™ are not optimal.
