Course Structure The Cerficate III & Cerficate IV in Educaon Support qualificaons have a lot of overlap. Instead

of compleng all 17 units in the Cerficate IV, you just complete the gaps between the Cerficate

III and the Cerficate IV.

In order to achieve this qualificaon students’ will typically complete a gap assessment and 3 – 6

units. The number of units you need to complete will depend on the elecve units you have

previously completed in your Cerficate III.

Below is a break-down of how the course may be structured.

Credit Transfers: Some units from your Cerficate III will come straight across to your Cerficate

IV. No further assessment will be required for units receiving a credit transfer.

Recognion of Prior Learning (RPL): Some of the units in the Cerficate IV cover similar concepts

and criteria to units in the Cerficate III. We have idenfied which parts of these units have been

addressed in the Cerficate III and where there are gaps. We have developed a gap assessment

document that consists of wri/en quesons and tasks to address these gaps.

Learning and Assessment Pathway: There are some units in the Cerficate IV that cover new

concepts and learning areas. You will be enrolled into these units and will complete all learning

and assessment for them.

Welcome to Adapt Educaon!

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You must have completed CHC30213 Cerficate III in Educaon Support (not an older version of

the qualificaon). It is expected that you will have well developed wri/en, verbal and numeracy

skills and basic computer operang skills. A working with children check (also known as a blue card

in Qld) must be obtained if you are engaging in a vocaonal placement. Refer back to our website

for links to each State or Territory agency responsible for working with children checks.
