• As students will undertake prior training in this area as an organizational entry requirement (or with prior experience assessed by the Trainer and RTO Manager in advance), most of the students will gain credit transfer for units previously completed in their Certificate I in Conservation and Land management.

This course provides skills for those learners who have some prior experience in the field and wish to expand their skills and knowledge in this industry area. This course offers students entry level parks and wildlife skills and experience, including training in the land management sector, with hands-on training across a wide range of land management and nursery skills.

Delivery Delivery Mode: Classroom based, with online access to resources. Practical Off Campus tasks and assessments built in as work placement to work within industry.

Prerequisites: Students will ideally have undertaken a certificate I in Conservation and Land Management or have existing skills and experience in this or a related field.

Location: On Campus – MacKillop Catholic College. Off Campus at working Nurseries

Duration: 2 Semester

Cost: $50.00 consumables fee (Additional fees may apply to students from external schools)

PPE: Supply your own clothing, long trousers, long sleeve shirt, gloves and sturdy boots

Recognition Students who successfully completed this program will be awarded with a nationally accredited qualification. All qualifications or units of competency that make up a qualification, in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) can contribute to the completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET). The potential credit for a successful completion of the qualification towards the NTCET would be 40 Credits (Stage 1).

• Credit towards NTCETR achieved may differ depending on if Credit Transfer is utilized to meet qualification packaging rules.
