OPENSOLID®WHAT IS
openSolid® is a mineral solid surface, formed by a high quality acrylic resin.This surface stands out by its hygienic and bacterium resistant nature due to the absence of porosity in its surface. openSolid® provides a wide range of possibilities, which will supply the chance of combining our countertop and a vast collection of acrylic kitchen sinks and bowls.100% Acrylic Solid Surface.
The absence of unsaturated polyester gives special characteristics to openSolid® sheets, sinks, bowls and bathubs, which makes them ideal to be used in hospitals.
The composition of openSolid® does not allow the reproduction of microorganisms, mold and bacteria.
IR spectrophotometry analisys under openSolid® sink concludes that it does not contain any kind of unsaturated polyester.
Colors are endless. We can produce any color taylor made according for your projects.
openSolid® es una superficie sólida formada por minerales y resina acrílica.Debido a la ausencia de porosidad, openSolid® es resistente al moho y al desarrollo de bacterias, lo que hace de openSolid® una superficie idónea para su uso en hospitales, laboratorios, quirófanos y mercado contract. openSolid® cuenta con un amplio abanico de posibilidades, desde planchas y formas prefabricadas a una colección de fregaderos y lavabos. 100% acrílico puro.
La composición de openSolid® no permite la reproducción de microorganismos, moho o bacterias.
El análisis de espectrofotometría IR realizado en el fregadero openSolid® concluye que no contiene ningún tipo de poliéster insaturado.
Los colores son infinitos. Podemos producir cualquier color para adaptarlo a sus proyectos.

CERTIFICATIONSOPENSOLID®
openSolid® is a non-porous solid surface and it is re-sistant to bacteria and mold. openSolid® is composed of 1/3 acrylic resin (PMMA - PolyMethil-MethAcrylate) and 2/3 of Aluminium TriHydra-te.
The laboratory tests which are included, have been made by the prestigious AIDIMA laboratory. The tests have been carried out on the basis of the different current regulations that you can find bellow:
openSolid® meets the requirements specified in the standards UNE 56867 and UNE 56868 for bathroom furniture.
openSolid® meets the requirements specified in the standards UNE 56842 y UNE 56843 for kitchen furniture.
openSolid® meets the requirements specified in the standards UNE EN 438-4 for compact laminate for indoor applications.
openSolid® meets the requirements specified in the standards UNE EN 438-6 for compact laminate for outdoor applications.
openSolid® meets the requirements specified in the European standards ISO 19712 for Decorative Solid Surfacing Materials. IR spectrophotometry analysis under the openSolid® sink determines that it does not contain any kind of unsaturated polyester.
These tests certify openSolid® is a suitable material to be used in the Hospital and Contract market.
The composition of openSolid® does not allow the reproduction of microorganisms, mold and bacteria.

openSolid® es un material sólido de porosidad nula y resistente a las bacterias. Está compuesto por 1/3 de resina acrílica (PMMA - Polimetil-Metacrilato) y 2/3 de trihidrato de aluminio.
Los ensayos de laboratorio que se adjuntan en este informe, han sido realizados por el laboratorio independiente de AIDIMA, basándose en las diferentes normativas vigentes a las que se hace alusión en los mismos y de los cuales resumimos las siguientes conclusiones derivadas de los resultados obtenidos:
openSolid® cumple con los requisitos indicados en las normas UNE 56867 y UNE 56868 de mobiliario de baño.
openSolid® cumple con los requisitos indicados en las normas UNE 56842 y UNE 56843 de mobiliario de cocina.
openSolid® cumple con los requisitos indicados en las normas UNE EN 438-4 de laminados compactos para aplicaciones interiores.
openSolid® cumple con los requisitos indicados en las normas UNE EN 438-6 de laminados compactos para aplicaciones exteriores.
openSolid® cumple con los requisitos indicados en las normas europeas ISO 19712 para Decorative Solid Surfacing Materials.
El análisis de espectrofotometría infrarroja sometido al fregadero openSolid® determina que no contiene ningún tipo de poliéster insaturado o aromático.
Los anteriores ensayos sirven para considerar la idonei-dad del uso de openSolid® para el mercado Contract y Hospitalario.
Además, las características de este material no permi-ten que se reproduzcan en él microorganismos, moho y bacterias.

Las encimeras openSolid® tienen un aspecto satinado cuando están recién instaladas. Con el uso cotidiano, la superficie de su encimera adquirirá un tacto más suave y sedoso. Disfruta openSolid®
USE&CAREOPENSOLID®
openSolid® is a material resistant to dirt and it does not absorb any liquid due to its lack of porosity. However, it is recommended to clean any splashes or dirt immediately in order to avoid an intensive cleaning process.
Daily cleaning. Use a sponge or damp (not dripping) cloth impregnated with CIF cleanser, gently rubbing with circular movements. Rinse with water and rub dry.Sinks. Daily cleaning of sinks is similar for worktops. It is advisable to spray mild soap on the sink and leave overnight. Rinse and dry in the morning. Do this at least one a week
Sttuborn stains. When a stain resists normal cleaning, you should proceed as follows: Take a abrasive sponge (already used), e.g. ScotchBrite, and ammonia based detergent. Always rub by circular movements. Rinse with hot water and dry. After this intensive cleaning, use CIF cleanser and a damp cloth or sponge to clean the rest of the worktop. It will confer a uniform appearance to the worktop.
Precautions. Much of damage in openSolid® surfaces can be repaired, even at the same installating place. You can solve problems caused by knocks, heat or chemi-cals, most of the time. However, the best solution is to take any necessary precautions:
· You should always use a tablemat between hot pans and worktops.
· You should never chop directly on a worktop. when pouring hot liquid through the sing, let cool water run.
· Do not use pots, pans and saucepans which are bigger than the induction cooking plate or vitroceramic hob.
openSolid® es un material resistente a las manchas y no absorbe líquidos debido a su ausencia de porosidad. No obstante, es recomendable limpiar inmediatamente las salpicaduras y suciedad para evitar un proceso de limpieza intensivo.
Limpieza cotidiana. Con una esponja o un trapo húme-do impregnado con CIF Crema, frotando suavemente en movimientos circulares. Aclarar con agua y secar.Fregaderos. La limpieza cotidiana del fregadero es igual que la de la encimera. Es conveniente, al menos una vez a la semana, rociar con detergente el fregadero y dejarlo toda la noche. Por la mañana aclarar y secar.
Manchas persistentes. Si una mancha se resiste con el método habitual de limpieza procederemos de la si-guiente forma. Con una esponja abrasiva (gastada), tipo Scotch Brite y un detergente con amoniaco. Siempre frotando en círculos. Aclarar con agua caliente y secar. Tras esta limpieza intensiva limpiar toda la encimera con CIF Crema y un trapo o esponja húmeda. Esto le dará un aspecto uniforme a su encimera.
Precauciones. La mayor parte de los daños producidos en las superficies openSolid® son reparables, incluso en el mismo lugar de instalación. Problemas causados por golpes, calor o productos químicos tienen solución casi siempre. Pero la mejor solución a estos problemas es tomar precauciones:
· Usar siempre un salvamanteles para depositar ollas y cazuelas calientes sobre la encimera.
· Nunca corte directamente sobre la superficie. para el vaciado de líquidos calientes en el fregadero, mantenga el abierto el grifo de agua fría.
· No usar ollas, sartenes o cazuelas que sobresalgan del tamaño de la placa de inducción o vitro cerámica.
