he Triennial has been organized in Orońsko since 1992. After 25 years and 7 editions, we can conclude that the Triennial has become a quality event identifying young
talents. The Open Triennial develops the formula of a review employed since the very beginning. In order to give it a contemporary dimension, a trio of curators, as young as the artists themselves, suggest shifting the emphasis from the main programme onto the accompanying events, to highlight the activities usually happening on the margins or outside the field of art. We are expecting an exhibition which will become a crucial generation landmark. Be sure to visit us T

Sofi Żezmer LOOKING GLASS18 November 2017 – 6 Janu-ary 2018„Orangery” GallerySofi Żezmer, artist of Polish ori-gins. Studied at New York Uni-versity (1980), Cooper Union B.A. (1986) Hunter College M.A. (1993) in New York. Since 1995, she has lived in Wiesbaden, Germany . The artist makes col-lages, photographs, three-di-mensional objects and site-spe-cific installations. She works in various media, juxtaposes glass, metal, wood, plastic and every-day objects. Ludwig Seyfarth, German critic, wrote about her works: “Sofi Żezmer’s images and objects offer a wealth of im-pressions for the viewer. One frequently has to look more clo-sely in order to take in every detail. Yet however much one engrosses oneself in what is vi-sible and tangible, at the end of the day this is only the bait, in-tended to entice us beneath the wide range of surfaces presen-ted. It is a reflection, using arti-stic means, on how we deal with things and the meanings we at-tribute to them”Curator: Leszek Golec

he Triennial has been organized in Orońsko since 1992.

20–21 October 2017In October 2017 the Centre of Polish Sculpture would like to invite you to the second international conference from the series Sculpture Today. The first edition (October 2016) sparked a heated and interesting discussion which prompted us to continue the reflection on the condition of sculpture today and to launch a series of Orońsko seminars, which – we hope – will be continued in the years to come. The key theme of this conference is art in the public
