We would like to provide support for researchers in geology, material science, astronomy, biology, etc. 22 Go Back Slide 23 Manufacturing In the fast-paced world of business and manufacturing, CAVE offers a means to improve productivity, increase safety, speed-up design cycles, raise product awareness, and other strategic advantages. Among many usage, we have most interests in helping for virtual prototyping in product development and collaborative work environments, allowing workers to more easily work with others who might be at a remote site. 23 Go Back Slide 24 Medical Applications The CAVE is a new technology which will enable medical community to provide better medical care for patients. We have a broad interest in these fields ranging from drug design, empathy training, Phobia treatment, to during-operation assistance and telemedicine. 24 Go Back Slide 25 Public Safety and Military Applications CAVE is used to help save lives indirectly by training firefighters, police, and military personnel. Using tele-presence, we can insulate safety personnel from danger, like carrying out dangerous missions from the safety of a remote location. 25 Go Back Slide 26 Education Applications CAVE provides a true three-dimensional, interactive environment in which students can manipulate, explore, and modify their environment, and collaborate with others who may located elsewhere. It will provide new training for special education and also help in museums and zoos.
