New Delhi, March 6 The Government has constituted a National Committee headed by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi to commemorate 75 years of India's Independence. The committee has 259 members and includes dignitaries and eminent citizens from all walks of life. It will provide policy direction and guidelines for formulation of programs for the commemoration of 75 th anniversary of Indian Independence, at the national and international levels. Addressing the gathering, DC (SA) informed that the Maternity Home is First of its kind 'Maternity Home' inaugurated at CHC Bambooflat the first of its kind in A&N Islands and has been constructed through the District Health Society (SA) under National Health Mission to p r o v i d e accommodation at minimal fee to the poor pregnant women of Inter Island for better health care delivery services. It was also informed that this initiative has been inspired from Nicobari Birth Homes, the idea of Maternity Home incorporates Traditional Gyan with Post Modern Technologies. He also informed that Maternity Home will be managed by the Rogi Kalayan Samiti of CHC Bambooflat in coordination with the D i s t r i c t Administration, South Andaman to provide allotment of accommodations to the pregnant women.
