WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
* PASSING OF PEACE
PRELUDE Adagio from Organ Sonata #1 Felix Mendelssohn
* CALL TO WORSHIP
We are called to be the children of light.
We come to worship to be renewed in our faith that our light
might ever shine.
The light of Christ is found in all that is good and right and true.
We gather for worship that we might gather ourselves to do what
is good and right and true to Christ.
We come to worship to celebrate and give thanks to God. Let us
lift our voices in praise!
* OPENING HYMN NO. 545 The Church’s One Foundation
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Loving God, we lower our heads before you and we confess that
we have too often forgotten that we are yours. Sometimes we carry
on our lives as if there was no God and we fall short of being a
credible witness to You. We ask your forgiveness and we also ask
for your strength. Give us clear minds and open hearts so we may
witness to You in our world. Remind us to be who You would have
us to be regardless of what we are doing or who we are with. Hold
us to You and build our relationship with You and with those You
have given us on earth.
Silent prayers may be offered.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Almighty God, who does freely pardon all who repent and turn to
Him, now fulfill in every contrite heart the promise of redeeming
grace; forgiving all our sins, and cleansing us from an evil
conscience; through the perfect sacrifice of Christ Jesus our
Lord. Amen.

MORNING PRAYER
LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy
kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
