Reason for Survey The orebodlea at entral Patricia Ooid Mines are contained in a portion of a band of iron formation. This portion Is entirely located within the right angled projection of a "gap" in a diabase dike located some 2000 feet east* Whether this "gap" in the diabase dike is a sharp bend or a fault has not yet been determined as there is no surface expression and underground work has, as yet, not disclosed the true nature of the "gap". It has been assumed that the forces causing this bend or fault in the dike were also the cause of the secondary fracturing in the portion of the iron formation and formed a locus for the formation of the ore. This "gap" is the only known possible structural marker for ore bodies at Central Patricia. The diabase dike can be traced north from the mine for a short distance by surface outcrops. Thereafter the country la covered by deep sand ridges and muskeg. In 1948, the dike was traced by magnetometer survey to the north property boundary. A similar "gap" (first "gap") in the diabase dike was located and the area to the west was covered by detailed magnetometer survey. Subsequent drilling of anomalies showed structure and formation similar to that at the mine and containing some gold values. Followlngthls work, a group of claims was staked along and to the west of the projected north strike of the diabase dike. Survey A magnetometer survey was carried out on a portion of this group staked to the north of the mine. The magnetometer survey was first carried out to delineate the diabase dike. This work showed two "gaps" in the diabase dike ( second and third "gaps"). Detailed magnetometer surveying was then carried out to the west of the gxyxx dike in the area of these gaps* Results The survey gave results similar to those obtained in the "first gap". However subsequent drilling of the anomalies has shown them to be caused by diorite dikes. Structure favourable to the occurrence of ore bodies in this area, was not disclosed.

Dear Sir:Herewith la reporti in duplicate, covering tbe

geophysical survey of a group of olaima located in the Pickle-Crow Area, Patricia District and adjoining north of Central Patricia Ooid Mines Ltd* This report la required by Sib section 3, Section 78a of The Mining Act, March 1948.

Reason for SurveyThe orebodlea at entral Patricia Ooid Mines are

contained in a portion of a band of iron formation.

SurveyA magnetometer survey was carried out on a portion of

this group staked to the north of the mine. The magnetometer survey was first carried out to

delineate the diabase dike. This work showed two "gaps" in the diabase dike ( second and third "gaps"). Detailed magnetometer surveying was then carried out to the west of the gxyxx dike in the area of these gaps*

ResultsThe survey gave results similar to those obtained in the

"first gap". However subsequent drilling of the anomalies has shown them to be caused by diorite dikes. Structure favourable to the occurrence of ore bodies in this area, was not disclosed.
