CENTRAL PARKCentral Park will be an activated community place that is both a destination and link between the new Stadium Precinct and the city.
Central Park is part of Council’s Townsville2020 masterplan – which provides a clear vision for our city.
Improvements and construction to Central Park will begin in 2019 and will revitalise the parkland to ensure it is ready for the opening of the North Queensland Stadium.

Council will continue to provide updates on the construction timeline.
Community Feedback AECOM has finalised the Central Park and Dean Street Carpark Concept Design Report.
The report provides short, medium and long-term options for the study area and is available on the Townsville2020 website.
