Career changers who have appropriate background in math but need a refresher in order to take and pass the CSET exams

Elementary teachers who wish to make the move to middle school

Teachers credentialed in other areas, in order to be more “marketable”

CCTC requires this content for “subject matter competency” for a Foundational Level Credential in math

Teaching style: combination of problem solving and direct instruction

40-hour institutes, one for each of the first two subtests

Instructed by teams: one from CSUSB math faculty and one K-12 math expert

Preferred schedule: 8 hours/week over a period of 5 weeks

Provide materials written by ICMP instructors with content and practice.
