Though Sarah Palin did not win the presi-dency, there is no doubt that she has been busy making news. In July, Palin announced her resignation as governor, claimed that a health care bill contained “death panels,” wrote a book criticizing McCain advisers and engaged in a war of words with her grandchild’s father.

Comedienne Mo’nique gives the best perfor-mance of the year as Mary Lee Johnson, the mother of the titled character in “Precious.” It will be a major upset if Mo’nique is not nomi-

comedic and dramatic films.

After high anticipa-tion, “Glee” left fans singing “Don’t Stop Believing” all across America. The hit show, which scored 10. 7 in the Nielson ratings, proving that a “Glee” club could be just as cool as the foot-ball team and cheer leading squad.
Best App:FarmVille
FarmVille, a real-time farm simulation game developed by Zynga, has become the most popular application on Facebook with 63.7 million active us-ers as of Nov. 9. The game al-lows users to plant, grow and harvest virtual crops and livestock.
Best Comeback:Britney Spears
After causing a circus in the media and cleaning up her act, the Britney
we love made her official comeback
this year proving that she is the ring leader of pop. Going back to her roots with producer Max Martin, Spears is proving that “3” is always better than one.
Breakout Star:Taylor Lautner
Packing on 30 pounds of muscle, shirtless Taylor left girls howling at the “New Moon,” easily leaving Edward Cullen to eat his dust. Not only did Lautner leave girls in awe of his six pack, but he proved he can get into character as well, leaving girls torn between Edward Cullen and Jacob Black.
