CELLULAR RESPIRATION Part II
In the presence of O2 we move through the Krebs cycle and the electron transport chain to produce 32-36 ATP molecules total
CELLULAR RESPIRATION PART II
Krebs Cycle: Pyruvic acid is broken down into CO2 in a series of energy extracting reactions

What is NADH and NAD+ ?
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a coenzyme found in all living cells. The compound is a dinucleotide, since it consists of two nucleotides joined through their phosphate groups. One nucleotide contains an adenine base and the other nicotinamide. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide exists in two forms, an oxidized and reduced form abbreviated as NAD+ and NADH respectively.
What function do NADH/NAD+ have in metabolism (cellular respiration)?
