Transcript of Cellular Automata & Surface Flow Analysis Brendan Duffy.
Background
• In 2012 the Facilities Management department at the University of Utah began a several-year project aimed at capturing and storing storm drain water on campus.
• The purpose of the project is to reduce the costs incurred from Salt Lake City for the removal and processing of storm water as well as a way to become more eco-friendly.
Objective
• Show that storm water accumulation can be mitigated by area drain placement.
• Ranking area drains based off of water flow potential.
Import the new array matrix created by extracting minimum values from the constant raster which creates the flow direction.
