Design Verdict
The design of the Celestron 71020 Skymaster 25-125×80 Zoom Binoculars is really beautiful.
Worth? I must say, yes!
With such a massive scope of magnification, the main purpose of this binoculars is undoubtedly to look at the stars. I mean, the key is in the company’s name. Celestial viewing is a tough nut to crack, with the telescope market really having the field nailed down.
However, being much more portable and flexible in form factor than a telescope, the SkyMaster’s definitely address a niche in the market. Able to bring star clusters and constellations into your back yard is a unique ability, only achievable with equipment such as this.
Celestron SkyMaster Main Usage
Unfortunately, where these binoculars have an incredible level of magnification, they don’t carry the same quality when it comes to the image they display.Where they are equipped with many beneficial features to optimize image quality, such as a large aperture for low light functioning and phase coated prisms, it doesn’t compensate for the blur presumably introduce by too much focus being paid to the magnification levels.
Images are compressed at the greatest zoom levels, and they are difficult to focus making for a less than ideal viewing experience.

Detailed Specifications
The 71020 SkyMaster is reasonably priced and much affordable.
Celestron offers huge magnification with this model.
They’re more of a portable telescope than binoculars, especially due to the huge magnification.
The Positives
Some users have reported the 2-kg weight of these binoculars to be somehow cumbersome and bothersome.
The Negatives
Q: Is it possible to connect a camera to these binoculars?A: The way it is, no. You'll have to add a 3rd party accessory. If this is your primary intention, prefer to buy a telescope.
Q: What is the field of view at 25 X and at a 125X in degrees?A: At 25 is very clear but at 125 is way too small.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I'm happy with my purchase of these binoculars. The optics are fine and I've enjoyed looking through them. You must have a heavy duty tripod or they are useless - don't expect to hold them in your hands and get a steady view. As you zoom in the focus changes slightly and the field of view narrows considerably. I also have trouble using binoculars in general and often use a single eye. I think I might have been happier spending the same money on a decent spotting scope. But I don't regret this purchase and am enjoying having something so portable for nights I don't want to set up my telescope, or when I want to view larger phenomenon.
