  • This is something I never thought I’d have to write for you. I thought you were going to be the one to make it out of Parsons. I remember you being the cutest baby I had ever seen when I was young and you how bad you were as a kid. There was never a dull moment with you. Me, Jar-ed, and you use to get on each other’s nerves all day every day, but we knew we always had each other. Laykin you were one of them once and a lifetime type of people. You always were blunt and straight to the point, you didn’t care what anyone thought about you, you stayed yourself. You knew exactly how to make someone’s day better even if it was just by giving a hug and a smile. Your personality was infectious. Anyone who really knew you loved you. I don’t think I’ll never understand why you was taken from everyone so young. Thank you for being a wonder-ful friend to others, a son, grandson, cousin, brother and what I’ll hold close to my heart my son’s uncle. If I knew the last time, I saw you was the last time I would’ve hugged you tighter and let you know how I was proud to be your sister. Though Your no longer here I know you will always be watching over me.

    -Kenjra Mays
