As part of its social responsibility towards the local community, PIC organized an activity

in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Al-Rajaa elementary school for girls

with special needs on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities,

which is celebrated in 3rd December each year. The event took place at Al-Muhallab Mall,

and featured various activities and workshops that brought joy to students.

On this occasion, Acting Manager of the Communication and Services Department Mr.

Dawood Al-Amiri said that PIC makes sure every year to join the local community in

celebrating this international day, and that stemming from its strategy for social

responsibility and sustainability.

Al- Amiri explained that PIC plays a big role in continuously supporting various social

issues, especially those that take care of people with special needs who need barriers that

prevent them from integrating with society to be removed. He stressed that the

challenges they face do not stand in the way of their resolve, ambitions and high value to

society, urging everyone to cooperate with them and improve their integration with

society so that they can help achieve development and progress for Kuwait.

Al- Amiri further noted that celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities,

which was designated by the United Nations, is an opportunity for everyone to think

about people with special needs and help them as much as they can, as well as raising

awareness about their conditions since they are an inseparable part of society.
