WE ARE ALLISON BOATS
It all started in the early 50s when local boaters gathered each weekend to race their boats. Paul Allison’s desire to outrun
the other guys plus his unbounded ingenuity becomes the start of the Allison Revolution. Paul’s invention, the “cupped”
propeller, gave his 25 Johnson powered, polished-bottom aluminum boat, the extra speed it needed. But this wasn’t
enough; Paul wanted to go faster. He decided to build his own boat.
One day in 1955, someone gave Paul an old rotten wood boat which
he promptly took apart and salvaged all hardware and hundreds of
brass screws. His first boat was no ordinary wood boat. It utilized
a step in the bottom that
allowed his 25 Johnson to
run 7 MPH faster than the
aluminum boat! He now
had the fastest boat in
the area.
With a taste of success, Paul built another boat with a hull utilizing more of his
own ideas and it was even faster. Soon after, Paul’s friends began asking him
to build a boat for them. While recovering form a serious hunting accident, Paul
decided to leave the auto body industry to build boats full time.
In 1961, Paul’s son Darris, at 14
years of age, removed the deck from a wrecked Allison race boat to
build his first fishing boat. In 1963, utilizing a discarded 13’ hull mold
and incorporating a fishing deck, Darris produced the first “high perfor-
mance” fishing boat that would run 45 MPH with only a 20 HP motor.
In 1969, Darris again would utilize another discarded hull mold from his
dad’s line of sport runabout hulls. This time it revolutionized the fish-
ing boat industry. The world’s first deep-V, pad bottom bass boat was
produced, that would also become the world’s first “High Performance
BASS BOAT”.
With the introduction of the first tri-hull-V bass boat in 1972, Allison would quickly became the most copied boat in the
world, with over 100 boat companies making Allison the number one bass boat design. Darris continued the tradition with
a long list of new innovations and a string of Patents. Three fourths of all features in every bass boat brand was Allison
firsts.
Allison Boats’ focus and investment in research and development is what makes Allison the industry leader in cutting edge
boat design. This commitment has consistently delivered the best boat on the market with ride, efficiency, and perfor-
mance, unheard of in other boats.
The Allison Legacy Allison invented the modern day high performance bass boat
and revolutionized the entire boating industry.
Allison is truly the pioneer of the modern day bass boat.

ALLISON ADVANTAGE
The Allison XB-21 BasSport is the ultimate performance
bass boat. The patented hull design in each XB-21 is the
secret to faster speeds, incredible fuel savings, and a
more comfortable ride. Only Allison has 60 years of
design and testing with performance results competitors
can only dream about.
As you can see from the photo, the spray comes cleanly
off the hull for a smoother, faster ride. Allison’s unique
hull design enables greater performance with less horse-
power. Other competitor bass boats chase greater horse-
power to achieve an increase in the same performance;
resulting in increased owner costs and more fuel con-
sumption.
The XB-21 is not only the top luxury bass boat, it will get
double average gas mileage of all big name bass boats on
the market. When compared to comparable size bass
boats, it is proven, by throttling the Allison back to the
top speed of other boats, the Allison actually exceeded
double gas mileage. In fact, the XB-21 can actually get
better gas mileage at 80 mph than other boats at 35 mph.
The fuel savings will allow for a lot more fishing fun or
help make the payments on the boat. Either way, you
win!
Fuel Efficiency You Want...
Allison is the undisputed world leader of pioneering
designs, inventions, and performance achievements
in the outboard boating industry.
Acceleration is a combination of hull design and
overall weight that determines how that boat will
accelerate with a given amount of power. The XB
-21 uses the same patented race boat technology
and all composite high tech construction that
gives it an unbeatable acceleration.
Nothing can touch the Allison’s hole shot with its
patented “skid-planer.” An under three second
hole shot is not uncommon.
Speed is a by word at Allison. Not even the com-
petition will argue who builds the fastest boat!
What a ride! Allison has the deepest V hull of any
bass boat; longest keel line length; and lift to
fly over most waves instead of pounding through
them. It’s no wonder Allison is the best riding
bass boat in the world!
With a “closed course racing” background, all Al-
lison boats are made to turn.
Handling is more than just steering a boat. Good
handling requires the appropriate engine size and
model as well as a proper set up for each applica-
tion.
The same reasons that make the XB-21 the best
riding bass boat in the world, also make it the
best in rough water with its deep V hull, long keel
line length, and high lifting pad.
Whether you’re talking about acceleration, hole shot,
speed, ride, turning, handling, or rough water, the
Allison XB-21 is unmatched.
Performance You Need...

DIALING IT IN…
The Allison difference results from a pro-
cess that starts with totally new designs
developed from the imagination of one
man — Darris Allison. Each element of a
new design is first hand formed on a test
“plug” that actually resembles a boat.
The process of testing, changing, and
retesting can involve literally years of
research on a given project. Once the
new hull design performs within the pa-
rameters of goal, engineering takes over.
Whether the new design is to become a sport
boat, fishing boat, or racing boat; efficiency,
maximum strength with minimum weight, and
long term durability are factored into the engi-
neering process. Allison race boats, for example,
are engineered to have totally rigid running sur-
faces for maximum speed. The same race boat
does not; however, have a deck strong enough to
support a 300 lb. fisherman. The sport boats are
engineered with maximum storage, convenience,
and comfort in mind while retaining the perfor-
mance level expected in the world’s fastest single
engine V-Bottoms.
Commitment to Design and Testing
Terry Wingo dialing in his XB-21 BasSport Pro Elite
Most all convenience and performance features found in every bass boat built today had its beginnings in an Allison Boat.
The bass boats are engineered to achieve an almost im-
possible task. These special boats must provide storage
for a ton of fishing gear. They must have aircraft carrier
decks; while at the same time, carrying the fisherman in
comfort. More importantly, these bass boats must get
the fisherman to the best fishing hole FIRST! The new
generation of Allison bass boats is the only boat in the
world that can do all of that!
Many industry innovations have risen from the engineer-
ing of such items as dash adjustable headlights on a bass
boat. At a more basic level, the idea of total composite
laminate boat construction was first pioneered at the
Allison design and engineering facility. On a
more basic level yet, the very V-pad bottom
design that is so popular on many bass boats
today, was designed and engineered and is
still being re-engineered at the Allison de-
sign and engineering facility.

sole professional bass boat. It is the only “big bass boat”
that can offer both the highest quality and lowest total
cost of ownership. With its patented, ultra-low-drag hull
design, the XST with 50 less horsepower, can out perform
other bass boats and go twice as far on a gallon of fuel!
