He is a graduate of Ambassador Bapst College and pastors Bethel Bapst Church in Riegelwood, North Carolina. Please join him and his family in the fellowship hall following 1st service for a meet & greet session. AUGUST & SEPTEMBER As a Senior project, Meredith Longley will be collecting items for soldiers stationed overseas. Requested items include: Non-perishable snacks (protein bars, trail mix, fiber bars, crackers, hard candy, etc) Toiletries (baby wipes, deodorant, toothpaste, razors, shaving cream, shampoo, body wash, etc) Games (jacks, cards, Sudoku, word searches, puzzles, crosswords, etc) Magazines Books iTunes gift cards Telephone calling cards Please place items in the bin located outside the church office. Military care packages will be mailed in October. Mr. Bryan Palumbo will be our guest on Sunday, August 10 for both services. Bryan was born deaf, as a result of his mother’s contraction of German measles during her pregnancy. The Lord burdened his heart to start his own ministry after working closely with DeafNation. Romans Road for the Deaf holds events across the country to pass out gospel tracts, witness, and explain the gospel in detail. They have led at least 53 souls to Christ, including several hearing folks! Tuesday, August 5 12 Noon We will meet in the fellowship hall for a “Reflections” session of the past year. Lunch will be: fried chicken, mashed pota- toes and gravy, green beans, and dessert. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Eva Goins. I Remember When... Join us for an old-timey ice cream social and an informal time of sharing memorable events in our church history on Sunday, August 10 at 6:00 pm. We will meet in the fellowship hall. Anyone willing to make homemade ice cream should contact a Bicentennial Committee member. Thank you!
