A peak into the ClassroomDebbie’s Class

Debbie's class has been busy learning how to write a Movie Review and identify/create Similes and Metaphors. We have also practiced slow dancing with a partner. Some of us have even built up the courage to ask a date to the Prom. Excitement is definitely in the air as we prepare to get all dressed up to attend our annual Prom!

A peak into theRelated Service Program

Business is booming at the CTC student run businesses!!! CTC's future business leaders of America have had another successful year running both a restaurant and graphic design business. The two combined businesses have made a profit of over $1000, after donating 10% to charity. Parents of participating students got the opportunity to experience a Café meal during our annual CTC Café parent dinner. Café students prepared dinner for their parents and enjoyed an evening of fun and laughter. Thank you to all who attended and all the staff that helped pull it together.

CTC Haircut Day, Wednesday, May 10thIs it hard to find a hairdresser who understands your

special needs child?

Is it hard for your child to tolerate getting their haircut?

Would you like to get your child’s haircut by a licensed hairdresser who has personal experience with special needs children who will provide this

service in the comfort of Celebrate the Children?

If you answered “YES” to one or more of these questions, Celebrate the Children is happy to announce we will be offering

haircutting services 1x a month to our students during the school day.

Maureen Long, a member of our CTC family and a licensed hairdresser with 30 years of experience, is pleased to donate her time by providing your child with a

developmentally sensitive haircutting experience. The goal is to make this experience less stressful for the child (and parent) and give CTC parents one less

thing to do.

If you would like your child to be scheduled for a haircut on Wednesday, May 10th, please complete the attached form and return to school by

Monday, May 8th. There are LIMITED slots available. Students will be serviced in the order that forms are received.

Questions: Email Joanne Keilty at [email protected]

A suggested donation of $15 is recommended for this service. The funds raised will support the Patrick Long Memorial Fund, in memory of Maureen’s

late son Patrick.
