The PRISM Awards recognize the finest projects and outstanding achievements of builders, developers, project owners, architects, land planners, marketing/advertising firms, interior designers, remodelers, and other professionals in the home building industry.

2015 PRISM JUDGES

Al Giaquinto, President of Plum Builders in East Hampton New York. Al has acquired residential construction industry credentials including Certified Graduate Remodeler, Certified Green Professional and Graduate Master Builder to augment his financial skills. Al is licensed as a Contractor in the Towns of East Hampton and Southampton, as well as licensed in Suffolk County and with the EPA. Plum Builders, Inc. is a member of the East Hampton and Montauk Chambers of Commerce. Plum Builders offers their clients integrated services that bring together planning, design, budget analysis, and construction in order to successfully deliver a streamlined project through one responsible partner.

Debra Falese, A.I.A., is president of the Woodley Architectural Group, Inc., California office, and is in charge of the day-to-day operations, bringing her energy and passion to the design process. In addition to being a hands-on manager, overseeing all aspects of the business, she has been instrumental in all projects throughout the United States, as well as international projects. Having worked with Michael Woodley for 25 years, they have established a creative flow resulting in hundreds of highly acclaimed projects shaping the housing industry for our clients both here and abroad. Debra received her architectural degree in 1987 from the University of Oregon and has been a featured speaker at P.C.B.C.

Kari Armstrong, Principal/ Owner at HRi Design, an award-winning interior design firm that has been in business for over 40 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Interior Architectural Design from California State University at Long Beach. After college, Kari started her career at a large design firm in Southern California. After 8 years she decided it was time for a change and moved her family to Colorado where her career path lead her to HRi Design as their Design Director. In 2008 Kari purchased HRi Design. In 2013 to further expand the firm she opened up a second office in Southern California. HRi Design works coast to coast and has been awarded multiple local and national design awards. HRi Design specializes in model merchandising, high-end residential and commercial design.

Michael Altman, president of Michael & Associates, began his company in 1989 and has been build-ing outstanding custom homes in the greater Indianapolis area ever since. Michael and his associates are committed to creating excellent homes with attention to detail and expert craftsmanship. Michael is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Indiana Builders Association, the Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis and its Hendricks County Council. He has earned sev-eral NAHB designations, including Certified Graduate Builder, Graduate Master Builder and Certified Green Professional. In addition, Michael regularly collaborates with local churches and Habitat for Humanity to build affordable housing throughout Indianapolis.

Jody Pilka, MIRM. Home Sales and Marketing Coach for Jody Pilka and Associates in Annapolis, Maryland. Jody has spent over 25 years with one of the leading National Homebuilders, Ryan Homes (DBA NVR INC, Reston VA) She most recently was Vice President of Sales and Marketing and has been involved in all aspects of the homebuilding industry during her tenure. Her consulting firm offers builders, developers and trade associates assistance in the areas of Sales Training, Product Development, Competitive Analysis, Marketing, and Competitive shopping. Jody’s past and present clients range from large National builders such as DR. Horton and Toll Brothers, to smaller Local and Regional builders Nationwide.
