INTRODUCTIONCEL manufactures a range of low maintenance, anti-vandal and energy efficient equipment for Zebra Crossings and Centre Islands. The very popular AVG-3 is the modern version of the familiar Belisha Beacon Gallery. This carries a range of amber and opal globes including Hi-Glow options plus other accessories, meeting the latest regulations.

The AVG-3 and the CELstar2™ LED unit make perfect partners; together they form the ideal solution for Belisha Beacon and Centre Island installation.

The UMSUG coded LED unit’s energy saving features offer a reduction in carbon emissions.

The units can be ordered as a package comprising the AVG-3 Gallery, CELstar™2 LED unit, ES lampholder and globe, at a reduced price.

A full range of accessories for the AVG is available.

Anti-Vandal Gallery AVG-3The obvious choice for either Belisha or Centre Island applications, the gallery’s two main components, collar and base, are of die-cast solid aluminium. Perfectly keyed together, collar and base are securely joined by two hidden allen screws forming a really tough integral unit. The unique CEL neoprene seal (to IP54) between collar and base, protects internal components.

When assembled it is virtually impossible for vandals to remove the globe, reducing maintenance costs.

Black is the standard finish - also available in grey.

AVG-3 Internal FixingsUnlike conventional Belisha galleries, all fixing points to shaft are completely hidden from the public. Three easily accessed globe ring captive security screws are cleverly hidden to minimise vandalism while remaining easy to maintain.

Accessories

GLOBESA selection of 300mm globes are available in amber or opal manufactured in one piece from tough Polyethylene providing high durability.

HI-GLOW BEACONDeveloped to provide a higher visibility solution, the Hi-Glow Beacon is available in amber and opal options. It is manufactured in one piece from Polyethylene. Colour pigments and compounds used provide a high level of luminescence for daytime and night-time visibility even in poor weather conditions.

LAMPHOLDERSAnti-vibration ES LampholderFits into AVG-3 Gallery and will accept CELstar2™ LED unit.

Anti-vibration BC LampholderFits into AVG-3 Gallery and will accept lamps with bayonet fitting.

PHOTOCELL (mini 2 part)A remote detector photocell with accuracy, reliability and low power consumption, used to control floodlight and/or Centre Island. Fits into AVG/P (Gallery drilled for PECU).

Light Output

The graph below shows the lux output, measured at various positions, from a Polyethylene globe, a Visibeacon and a Hi-Glow Beacon. The light source was a 60W tungsten filament lamp.

Accessories (continued)

FLOODLIGHT300w tungsten halogen floodlight can be fitted to the AVG-3 using pre-drilled fixing points, to provide illumination to crossings. Normally controlled by photocell.

COURTESY SHIELDOur standard shield is 400mm wide and is simply and firmly secured using standard fixing points on the AVG-3.

LUMISPHERE®

Electronic Conservation Unit fits directly into the AVG-3 in place of a traditional lampholder.

A 50w tungsten halogen lamp (luminous flux of 850 lm) provides high visibility.

FAV-3 Flashing Unit for Belisha Beacon.NFAV/4 Non-Flashing Unit for Centre Island.

OUTREACH BRACKETCEL manufacture bracket arms to clamp onto 76mm pole complete with 76mm spigot to accept the AVG-3. Available in galvanised finish or painted Black or Grey.
