We hope you all enjoyed our facility and we look forward to seeing you next year. Thanks to our pool service company, RC Pool Services, for maintaining the sparkling water all this season. The entrance way chain gate will now remain up but residents are encouraged to enjoy our playground, ten-nis and basketball court and our enclosed patio area throughout the year. Good and Welfare: Need some extra cash or extra house space? Our Fall Cedarfield Neighborhood Garage Sale is scheduled for Saturday, October 1

st – 7AM to 12 Noon

(feel free to start earlier or go later). Check our web site for additional information. Cedarfield II is holding an Octoberfest for all neighbor-hoods – Saturday, October 1

st – at their pool parking lot.

Scheduled time is 4Pm until dusk. Planned activities include local bands, a chili cook off contest, cornhole

tournament and a bounce house for the kids. Just bring the family, some chairs, snacks/food and brews to share. Check out their web site for additional details. All previously stated homeowner violations have been corrected. Thanks to all our residents who take pride in our community and make this a great place to live. Architectural Request: The Board approved a Fox Tail residents’ request for a new screened in porch and patio deck. Yard of the Month: Our YOM contest has been completed. Committees: All committees currently have enough members.

ARC report: one request in the last 6 weeks.

Landscaping report:

Community Volunteer Day to fix the fence along McCoy Road went well. Thank you to all volunteers. Need to look into fixing fence beyond Twin Trail Drive along McCoy Road.

Playground needs a new bench, a fixed trash can, and mulch. Pool Committee will include the playground in their duties. Larry will look into pricing for items. They will also clean the playground equipment.

Trees along Pool Boulevard need to be looked at. Christy will research.

We will look at adding a Pond Committee at the annual meeting. Water meter covers: there are 2 meters that need covers – one at

the entrance on Stratton Farm, and one at the corner of Bradford Hill and Stratton Farm. Fake rock water meter covers are much cheaper than the boulder route discussed previously. Larry will research. Motion to purchase covers with a price cap of $200. All in favor, motion passed.

Pool report:

The committee will be meeting with Ryan Voyles from Swim Club Management on Thursday to go over issues from the season.

A shut-off valve is needed at the outside showers. The committee wants to meet with the pool committee from C2

to share ideas about what each committee does for the asso-ciation.

Social report:

Fall Yard Sale is Saturday, October 1st. Halloween Party is Saturday, October 29th from 4:00-6:00pm.

Welcoming report: No update.

ARCHITECTURE

Three ARC requests submitted. All requests approved

SOCIAL

The first annual Oktoberfest will be held at CII pool on Saturday, October 1 from 4-6 pm.

POOL

Prior to the 2017 pool season, C11 will need to address the failing fiberglass condition of the community pool before the pool can open. The board is currently reviewing a proposal from Swim Club Management.

Hawthorne Management to address end of year pool maintenance needs (i.e. baby gate; pool chairs, pest control).

Hawthorne Management renewed the monthly security patrol request of Huntersville Police Department.

FACILITIES

New landscaping company approved by the board. Phillips Environmental will begin October 1, 2016.

Sprinkler issue reported on Henderson Hill will be reviewed by Hawthorne Management and Phillips Environmental.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.

The next meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Location: Lake Forest Church.

From a concerned neighbor:

Thursday evening, September 22nd I drove down Angel Oak Dr. at about 9:45pm. Just about EVERY home on the right side of the street (east side) was dark. Absolutely no porch lights at all. For kicks we turned our headlights out for a moment and the entire street was pitch black. Anyone could be lurking around those homes without detection. Please light up for safety!

We’re seeing a lot more homes proudly flying the American flag! Thank you Cedarfield!

What to do with all those leaves?

Residents are allowed to place up to 5 bags of yard debris at the curb for pick up during (up to 10 bags will be allowed during heavy leaf season - Nov. 1 to Jan. 15). Bags of leaves and yard debris should be placed in clear or transparent bags (25 gallon size). If opaque bags are used they must be left open.
