Mazagan Beach Resort hosts the first Contemporary Art Encounter

Mazagan Beach Resort and Maroc Premium , in collaboration with “ Arts du Marc” organize from February 26 to February 28, 2010, in collaboration the first Contemporary Art Encounter which will take place in the cities of Azemmour and El Jadida. A unique opportunity to discover numerous artists who reside or have a workshop in these two cities formerly occupied by the Portuguese, many centuries ago. During these three days, including the night Saturday night session, the general public will be given the opportunity to meet with 15 artists: André El Baz, Hamidi, Habbouli, Rahoule, Ahlam Lemsefer, Hamidi, El Azhar, El Amine, Dibaji and Zoubir ,to mention only a few, and to discover their work which will be exhibited in some twenty locations: artist workshops, exceptionally open to the public, and several public spaces transformed for this occasion into art galleries. The art will be accordingly celebrated in a friendly atmosphere where ideas will be exchanged in the heart of the two cities. Beyond this event in the region of El Jadida-Azemmour, a great retrospective exhibition will be presented at the Mazagan Beach Resort bringing together fifty artists amongst the most outstanding personalities of Moroccan art. A socially responsible enterprise, Mazagan Beach Resort, the driving force of El Jadida destination, also works for the enhancement of art made in Maroc.

The Moroccan artists who participate in the art meetings

Partner of the first Contemporary Art Meetings, Mazagan Beach Resort hosts a large exhibition bringing together more than 50 artists among the most outstanding personalities of today’s Moroccan painters. This exceptional exhibition takes place in the Doukkala 2 and El Jadida 2 rooms during the whole duration of the meetings. The artists’s works are presented there by generation.
