National Framework I

Use of CERs and ERUs in the ETS:

20% of the EU ETS cap = 90 Mio. Certificates p.a. = 450 Mio.Certificates in 2008/12

Assuming a reduction of 50.000 t CO2eq/a this would correspond to1800 projects

The constitution of the Emissons Trading Authority (DeutscheEmissionshandelsstelle) has been successfully performed:

• CDM-projects are usually handled within 3-4 weeks time

• High workload with JI projects in Germany

• adjusting ProMechG to international and europeandecisions

• CDM/JI- experience of DEHSt: checking of plausibility isproving of value, procedures are being accelerated
