Major changes are:(1) provide flexibility in selection of samples in categories of components, operator actions, and operating experience; (2) generally preclude re-inspection of items previously inspected by SSDPCs and CDBIs.; and (3) perform CDBIs on a triennial cycle.

The sample selection is based on a risk-informed and low margin approach to identify the highly risk-significant components and operator actions at the facility.

Summary

To have a successful CDB Inspection:

1. Review the IP and plan accordingly

2. Have a strong Design Margin program

3. Have a strong Corrective Action program

4. Review OE and implement as necessary
