Green Day This is a cd cover design of Green Day’s American Idiot. The use of colours and text is very striking and fits in with their target audience and genre of music which is rock

People will be attracted to the grenade heart as it is their logo for their band, and striking in the use of colour they have used as it is behind a darker background to stand out.

The typography used in this cd cover looks very rustic and old, also it seems to tie in with the grenade and they look like bullet shots in some of the letter. It again stands out from the dark background.

Overall the cd cover is simple in the way it is presented as there is an equal amount of text to visuals. Making it eye catching to viewers.

Nicola Roberts

This is a cd cover of Nicola Roberts first solo album Cinderella Eye’s. The image of the singer is shown in the cd cover to appeal to her audiences.

The images around the cd cover seem cluttered of house essential, to relate to the name of her album as she may resemble ‘Cinderella’

The use of colours are bright and are mostly pink which shows the singer’s girly personality.

There is very little typography presented in this cd cover, which shows that the target audience is to a much younger audience.

Also the singer’s hair stands out from the white background which may represent a statement towards her unique hair colour.
