1. There is a relationship between the front cover and the other panels in the digipak. They link together because of the bright house colours of blues and pinks which suggest that her music is listened to a younger generation, the images and theme are very girly, fun, colorful and food orientated which is very clear due to the different panels, is also can relate to her genre of music which is pop,

5. The typography used in this album is sans serif as the artist name is written in a balloon like font which again is very playful and fun. It looks soft and personal and very feminine. The use of font is very different to the usual album cover.

2. The image consist mostly of the artist and cakes which I her brand identity. The actual CD is printed in a candy red with white spiral which again represents youth with a sweet theme and the giant candy floss looking cloud that she is laying on. The album title is teenage dream and this has been used as the theme for the Digipak. The fact she is laying on a cloud connotes the fact she is in a dream. The inside cover can suggest that a teenage girl’s dream is to go to the prom and become the queen.

3. The layout and page design uses white space from the light tones of the album cover. The effect it gives to the audience is that it is fresh and different with the use of meanings how the images come across.

4. The designer has made this stand out from the use of bright and vibrant colours. Also the way the artist is presented, as she is seen had naked in a few of the photos which could attract a older audience and men would find her attractive. The designer has added in elements for each of her target audience, to make it very popular and to link with her genre.

6. The image of the cakes and food have developed her brand identity to be recognized. They have done this by maintain her star image motifs through out the album and for her music videos also, as it is very clear for people to see.7. The industry information

THE SCRIPT

Released: September 10th 2011 – Artist Name: The Script – Album Name: Science & Faith1. There is a relationship between the different panels as they are linked together due to the natural and muted colours that is used throughout the album cover. The band has a style of it being very simple. The band are wearing black which is a dominant colour on the cover, as it creates a contrast to the natural landscape in the background, which is of a gold, sand-like colour.

2. The front cover shows a picture of the band, with a medium close-up being used for the lead singer and a medium long-shot for the other two members in the background. This is to emphasis the singer, as he is the lead vocalist within the group and therefore the main feature of the album as the audience will be able to recognize him. the used of font is very limited and simple yet modern, it stands out from the background and used as their logo because it can be remembered by their fans. The back colour and booklet are of pictures of hands which connote a free and fresh feel to it, it looks calming.

The layout and page shows a visual clutter as the band are spread across the cover of the album which stands out, although the back and booklet cover use white space for the hands to stand out on the gold background. The effect that it gives is that it is very personal to the band, the hands could represent there songs of love, heartbreak and romance.

4. The designer makes this eye catching to the extent how different it is and how simple yet it stands out from the contrast of colours and the look of the band.

7. They have added industry information such as there record label and copyright information. A barcode is also used on the bottom left to show authenticity and professionalism, which is followed by the record label logo.

5. The typography of this cover is sans as it masculine and simple and bold, it also suggest how modern it is and is functional. This reflects there genre of music as soulful. 6. This album digipak develops their album name logo as it is used in the different panels, it also develops their star image motifs as to there style and how they want to be portrayed to their audiences.

Released: March 16th 2009 – Artist Name: Peter Doherty – Album Name: Grace/Wastelands

1. There is a relationship between the different panels as they link together due to the use if house colours of oranges and yellows in the watercolor paintings as they stand out on the white background. The theme through out the album cover is very unique and different as people can be automatically drawn to the the graphic images of the burnt woman.

5. The typography used is a mixture of sans and sans serif and his name is in capitals and is bold which is a masculine text, however underneath is the name of the album 'Grace/wastelands' which is in a fine handwritten style font which suggest it is more personal and softer.

2. The choice of images, colour and font are the same for each panel to the recurring colour scheme but has 3 images of a ballet dancer, which is relevant to one of the songs. Some lyrics from the tracks are also written across these designs again in a handwritten manner, this make it looks hand made and are more personal as the artists has used his own design and sharing with them with his fans.

3. The layout and page design uses a lot of white space to make sure the images and text stand out more and are eye catching to the audiences. This effect is to portray a simple yet different album colour from the used of images and colours.

4. The designer has made this eye catching and popular to the audiences to how quirkily it is. The designer has made it very easy to see, easily accessed and recognized.

6. From this they have developed there star image motifs from the uses of different and unusual graphic images and how they can be easily recognized by his audiences. It shows his love for art as well as his music.

7. The industry have added additional informational on the album cover such as as a logo for a DVD showing that there are bonus videos on the album. There is also information about copyright and the record studies. It also has a barcode and a special edition sticker.
