•  Create  partnerships  across  schools.  

•  Go  slowly  to  go  fast-­‐  you  cannot  do  everything  at  once.  

•  Grow  knowledge  together.  •  Do  some  “R&D”  or  “What  

happens  here…  leaves  here.”  •  You  have  permission  to  struggle…

Some  CCSS  Implementa>on  Principles  

•  There  are  no  “experts.”  •  The  district  is  not  providing  

an  implementa>on  plan.  •  There  is  no  “Common  

Core.”  •  You  can’t  do  it  all  at  once!  

•  Everyone  is  learning.  •  Schools  need  to  develop  

their  own  plan.  •  Be  specific  when  describing  

CC  strategies  and  standards.  •  Put  a  plan  to  scaffold  the  

work  for  the  next  2-­‐3  years.
