CCPB srl is an inspection and certification body for agrifood

and “no food” products, for example cosmetics products and textile products, obtained in organic and eco-friendly production. Today CCPB certifies about 9000 companies, 8000 of them in Organic production branch. In these companies, we count big retailers, small and medium

companies, startups. Certification can be very important for the growth of production branches. Many figures show that certification improves the quality of the product and its environmental impact, ensures food safety, improves productive processes and it is an unreplaceable service of trust towards the consumers.

CCPB opera come organismo di ispezione e certificazione dei prodotti agroalimentari e “no food”, tra cui la cosmesi e il tessile, ottenuti nel settore della produzione biologica e in quella ecocompatibile ed ecosostenibile.Oggi CCPB certifica circa 9000 aziende in Italia e in tutto il mondo, di cui circa 8000 nel settore delle produzioni biologiche. Tra queste figurano affermati gruppi industriali, grande distribuzione, piccole e medie imprese, aziende emergenti. La certificazione può rivestire un significato e un ruolo fondamentali per la crescita competitiva dei settori produttivi cui è applicata. Come mostrano numerose ricerche di mercato, la certificazione migliora la qualità del prodotto e il suo impatto ambientale, rafforza la sicurezza alimentare, rende più efficiente e virtuoso il processo produttivo e costituisce un insostituibile servizio di garanzia e fiducia verso i consumatori.

Organic agrifood

Organic Agriculture is a sustainable production

method which exalts the natural fecundity of the soil ecosystem and the healthiness of the products, and reinforces sustainability, without using chemicals (such as chemical fertilizers, for instance). Who is willing to obtain an organic certification can apply in compliance with EU Reg. 834/2007, which defines the certification system in the EU and, with several agreements with other international schemes (USA, Japan. Canada, Brazil, South Korea, Switzerland). The first step is the editing of the notification of activity

with organic method or the application for certification by the company. Then the certification body will assess all documents, audits the production sites, and releases the compliance certificate. After that, the certification body registers the company in the certificate products record, and finally assesses the labels and packaging of the organic products. The certification regulation is valid for production, preparation, commercialization, distribution and import companies. L’agricoltura biologica è un metodo di produzione agricola sostenibile che esalta la naturale fertilità dell’ecosistema suolo, la salubrità dei prodotti e rafforza la sostenibilità senza usare prodotti di sintesi (ad esempio fitofarmaci e concimi chimici). Chi vuole ottenere una certificazione biologica lo può fare secondo il Reg. CE 834/2007, che definisce il sistema di certificazione nell’Unione Europea, e in accordo con gli altri schemi internazionali (Stati Uniti, Giappone, Canada, Brasile, Corea del Sud, Svizzera etc). I passaggi per ottenerla prevedono da parte dell’azienda la compilazione della

notifica di attività con metodo biologico o della domanda di certificazione, da parte dell’organismo di certificazione la valutazione dei documenti, la verifica dei siti produttivi, il rilascio del certificato di conformità e l’iscrizione nel registro dei prodotti certificati, la valutazione di etichette/confezioni per prodotti biologici. Il regolamento di certificazione vale per aziende di produzione, preparazione, commercializzazione, distribuzione e importazione. Organic no food

branch

In the no food branch, CCPB provides certification services

in the following branches: cosmetics, cleansers, medical devices with ingredients from organic agriculture, in the textile and for green areas cultivated with organic method. The natural and organic cosmetics are realized through compounds entirely derived by natural or certified organic ingredients. CCPB is recognized by the Natrue Standard, one of the most recognized on an international level, which determines that the 95% of the ingredients must be certified as organic. The medical devices with ingredients from organic agriculture follow the principles of the EU Regulation 834/2007 and of organic cosmetics: they have the almost exclusive presence of organic ingredients; they are produced for an oral and external use. The organic and eco-friendly cleansers are obtained

in compliance with bio-toxicological and eco-toxicological criteria, while the finished products are assessed also basing on their efficacy. For organic textile, we intend the use of natural fibers and the adoption of environmentally sustainable processes; CCPB certifies through two international standards: GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and OE (Organic Exchange). A textile product can be defined and recognized as organic when the textile fibers are produced with an organic method and the manufacturing processes follow specific requirements of environmental and social production as described in the respective standards. The ornamental green cultivated with an organic method is certified in compliance with the Bio Habitat standard, which retraces the principles and criteria of the EU regulation on organic agriculture.

Nel comparto no food CCPB è attivo nel settore della cosmesi, della detergenza e nei dispositivi medici, nel tessile e nelle aree verdi coltivate con metodo biologico. I cosmetici naturali e biologici sono realizzati attraverso composti derivati direttamente da ingredienti naturali o certificati biologici. CCPB è riconosciuto in base allo standard Natrue, uno dei più valevoli a livello internazionale, che stabilisce come il 95% degli ingredienti naturali devono essere certificati biologici. I dispositivi medici con ingredienti “da agricoltura biologica” seguono i principi del regolamento dell’Unione Europea (Reg CE 834/2007) e di quelli sui cosmetici bio: vantano la presenza quasi esclusiva di ingredienti provenienti dal metodo biologico, sono prodotti ad uso orale ed esterno.

I detergenti bioecologici sono ottenuti nel rispetto di criteri di tipo chimico biotossicologico ed ecotossicologico, mentre i prodotti finiti sono valutati anche in base alla loro efficacia. Per tessile biologico si intende l’utilizzo di fibre naturali e l’adozione di processi ecosostenibili; CCPB certifica attraverso due standard internazionali: GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) e OE (Organic Exchange). Un prodotto tessile può essere definito e riconosciuto biologico quando le fibre tessili sono prodotte con metodo biologico e i processi manifatturieri seguono specifici requisiti di protezione ambientale e sociale così come descritto nei rispettivi standard. Il verde ornamentale coltivato con metodo biologico è certificato in base allo standard Bio Habitat che ricalca i principi e i criteri del regolamento dell’Unione Europea sull’agricoltura biologica.

Environment and

Sustainability

Sustainability is more and more central in the production

processes planning, and in the decision-making on a social and political level, and it is now considered as a benefit for products. Thanks to the collaboration with the most important scientific institutions in Italy, CCPB developed specific environmental process and product assessment and certification systems, in the agrifood and agro energy supply chains.

These systems are based on a LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) approach. CCPB is also accredited for EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certification, which focuses on the environmental product/process/service performances in order to improve its sustainability. As an impartial instrument recognized on an international level, EPD permits to improve the communication of the environmental policies adopted to the partners, operators and consumers.

La sostenibilità è sempre più centrale nella pianificazione dei processi produttivi e nelle scelte decisionali a livello sociopolitico, tanto da essere considerata elemento di valorizzazione dei prodotti. Servendosi della collaborazione dei più importanti enti e istituzioni scientifiche nazionali, CCPB ha messo a punto specifici sistemi di valutazione e di certificazione delle performances ambientali di processo e prodotto nelle filiere agroalimentari e agroenergetiche, basati sull’approccio LCA (Life Cycle Assessment). CCPB è inoltre accreditato per la certificazione EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), la dichiarazione ambientale di un prodotto che mette in evidenza le prestazioni ambientali di prodotto/processo/servizio per migliorarne la sostenibilità. Come strumento imparziale e riconosciuto a livello internazionale, l’EPD consente anche di comunicare a partner, operatori e consumatori, l’efficacia delle politiche ambientali intraprese.

CCPB offers audit services and inspection services

carried out by inspector with specific skills, in compliance with the regulations UNI EN ISO 19011:2012 and UNI EN ISO 17020:2012, in compliance with requirements from contracts, referred to Regulation Documents, binding requirements or requirements agreed with the client. These services are in particular addressed to big retailers companies, to food service companies, to promotion consortiums, to importers, which have the need to qualify and/or maintain a recurring control on

suppliers, on their quality system, on the product supplied, on the services supplied, on the company processes, on the structures and on the equipment used. The service comprehends the definition of audit programs and or inspection, their execution and the editing of the final report, and, on request, it can be extended also to the arrangement of specific control checklist, to the documents assessment, to product sampling, to product tests, to traceability tests, and the eventual corrective actions adequacy assessment.

CCPB offre servizi di audit e di ispezione eseguiti da Ispettori con competenze specifiche, secondo i principi contenuti nella Norma UNI EN ISO 19011:2012 e in riferimento alla UNI EN ISO 17020:2012, sulla base di requisiti contrattuali e cogenti, riferiti a documenti normativi, oppure concordati con il cliente. Questi servizi sono rivolti in particolare alle aziende della grande distribuzione (GDO), della ristorazione collettiva, ai Consorzi di valorizzazione, agli importatori che hanno l’esigenza di qualificare e/o mantenere un controllo periodico sui fornitori, sul loro

sistema qualità, sui prodotti forniti, sui servizi erogati, sui processi aziendali, sulle strutture e sulle attrezzature utilizzate. Il servizio comprende la definizione dei programmi di audit e/o ispezione, la loro esecuzione e la stesura del rapporto finale e, su richiesta, può essere esteso anche alla predisposizione di check list di controllo specifiche, all’esecuzione di valutazioni documentali, di campionamento del prodotto, di prove sul prodotto, test di rintracciabilità e alla valutazione dell’adeguatezza di eventuali azioni correttive.

The Mediterranean

Following the incorporation merger of IMC into CCPB,

CCPB is accredited to certify the organic productions through the companies IMC Egypt, IMC Lebanon, IMC Morocco, IMC Tunisia and IMC Turkey, in all countries in which the offices are based, and in the adjacent countries. It’s a project coming from the long time activity of IMC in the Mediterranean area, as a strategic area for the obtaining of quality productions in the agrifood and no

food sectors. The idea is to transfer a merely Italian experience and values to the whole Mediterranean area to the advantage of consumers having a growing demand and market for environmentally sustainable and organic products.In order to do so CCPB/IMC group has to offer 25 years of experience in control and certification services: expertise, accountability, knowledge of processes, and promotion of the entrepreneurship function.

A seguito della fusione per incorporazione di IMC srl in CCPB srl, quest’ultimo è accreditato a certificare le produzioni biologiche tramite le società IMC Egitto, IMC Libano, IMC Marocco, IMC Tunisia e IMC Turchia, sia nei paesi in cui hanno sede le società che nei paesi confinanti. Un progetto che deriva dalla pluriennale attività di IMC nel Mediterraneo, quale area strategica per l’ottenimento di produzioni di qualità sia nel settore agroalimentare che nei settori no food. L’idea è quella di trasferire un’esperienza e valori tipicamente italiani in tutta l’area mediterranea a vantaggio di consumatori la cui domanda e il mercato di prodotti ecosostenibili e biologici risulta in forte crescita. A servizio di ciò il gruppo CCPB/IMC mette a disposizione oltre 25 anni di presenza nel settore del controllo e della certificazione: competenza, credibilità, conoscenza dei processi, valorizzazione della funzione imprenditoriale.
