No Small Change – Toolkit 1: Checklist There are lots of things you need to remember to organise a workshop, both in planning the event and on the day. These are some of the things that we think are important - you might want to add additional items. Item Complete? Planning the Theory of Change Workshop Have you agreed the scope of the workshop with key stakeholders i.e. if you are analyzing one part of the currency/organization or all of it? Have you explained why you are completing a theory of change to your stakeholders? Have you invited your key stakeholders? Make sure they know the date, time and purpose of the event well in advance. See sample invitation in this toolkit. Have you reminded your stakeholders as the date comes near? Even if you have invited people by email, letter, Facebook you might want to call people up to make sure they have seen the invitation and understood its relevance. Have you booked a suitable room and refreshments? Have your briefed co-facilitators and made sure someone is available to write up the day? Have you finalized the timescale and an agenda (see example agenda)? Have you checked if any participants have any access requirements e.g. wheelchair, hearing loop etc.? Have you checked if participants have any dietary requirements?

On the dayDo you have all the equipment you need? – Pen’s, Bluetack, flipchart paper, post it notes, tables, chairs, name badges.Is the room set out in a way that will enable everyone to participate? Can everyone see?Do you have refreshments and do participants know when the breaks are?Have you looked over the ‘steps’ and ‘troubleshooting’ sections of the No Small Change report?
