Martin Sternberg• Capillary Concrete® is a patented bunker liner and a

registered trademark invented by Martin Sternberg, CGCS

• After years of working in bunker construction and management, and having experienced every single bunker liner product on the market, Martin came up with the unique Capillary Concrete® formula. He shared the constant headaches of bunker management with every superintendent he worked with and now believes that Capillary Concrete® is the final solution to all bunker problems.

"This product is very durable, environmentally safe and easy to install. It drains perfectly and keeps the bunker sand moist and compacted. And all this at a very reasonable price. This simply solves all bunker problems!"- Martin Sternberg, CGCS

Capillary Concrete®-Reduces Maintenance and Saves Money

• Easy to install: Capillary Concrete® is mixed thoroughly offsite and can be delivered to each bunker in a 3m3 Concrete truck and this is followed by simply spreading the Capillary Concrete® at a uniform thickness of 50mm

• No Messy clean-up with fuel or other carcinogenic liquids

• No odor

• 90% strength in first week and remaining 10% in the next 10-15years-

• All structural building, roadways etc. are built utilising concrete and not asphalt or polymer based products purely for strength and lifespan

• Tested in various countries in different climatic conditions

• Superior Drainage: The open architecture provides maximum drainage and water flow to minimize washouts even on the steepest of bunker faces.

• No contamination of clay from sub-grade: The 50mm layer of Capillary Concrete® prevents sub-grade migration to help keep sand clean.

• NON OF THESE PRODUCTS PREVENT PLUGGING 100%, HOWEVER, WITH ADDED MOISTURE IT SURE REDUCES.

Concrete in general is widely accepted as the strongest material available to create outdoor structures. There is a reason bridges, parking garages and

airfield runways are always constructed out of concrete... - it lasts!

Application: 6 Easy Steps

1.Clean-out Bunker 2. Verify Drainage 3. Spread sub-base Aggregate (Optional)

4. Spread CC at 50mm uniform thickness

5. Allow to cure for 6 hours

6. Install sand and get back to play

MoistureMoisture is the key factor in the installation and maintenance.Moisture is retained over 100% of the sand surface i.e the faces and base

Drip line Irrigation

Capillary Concrete® has developed a revolutionary technique of subsurface irrigation on steep bunker faces, which is part of the Capillary Concrete® patented system, and it is changing the way bunkers are being managed. There is no need to irrigate the bunker faces to achieve firm conditions. The drip line irrigation used in many installations is Netafim Techline®, and the amount of water emitted is determined by the design and the bunker condition.

WET SAND v’s DRY SAND

• Wet sand tends to be firmer

• Wet sand doesn’t fall during hot dry weather

FINISHED PRODUCT

• Moisture control is the ability to freely drain rain events and to be able to keep moisture in the bunker sand in dry conditions.
