もう秋ですね。2012年の秋はあっという間に来ています。小さいごろ、正月の連休に向かって、学期が長～い気がしていました。社会人になると忙しくなって、友達も増えていますが、仕事をいつまでもやりきれないし、友達も連絡できなくなりました。時代の進歩に伴う膨大なデータ量は驚きます。人類文明の起源から2003年まで50億GBのデータ量が蓄積されると言われていますが、2013に同じ50億GBを蓄積するのはわずか10分でかかると予測されています。驚く事実だろう？しかし、こんなデータの爆発は我々の暮らしのスピードを加速し、仕事がいつまでも終われないし、友達にも会えなくなりました。もうそろそろ年末ですから、さっさとパソコンも携帯も離れてアプリもやめて、ちょっと「古っぽい」ことをやってみましょうか。例えば友達に(固定)電話して、家族と旅へ行って、自分に手紙を書くのがいいではありませんか。残るわずかな2012年を無駄にしないでね！頑張れ！

How time has flown this year as autumn arrives, it seems that the 2012 autumn just snuck up on us all of a sudden. As a child we always thought the semester was so long and vacations seemed a long way away. It was only after growing up that we began to take on more and more responsibilities and have more and more friends and acquaintances. But even when we can’t finish all our work, or connect with all our friends, the lightning speed pace of technological development remains amazing, as from the onset of written history to 2003, mankind had only generated 5 billion GB of data, while estimates are now that by 2013 every ten minutes will see global data generation in such mammoth amounts, is that not truly incredible?

And it is precisely this fast pace of technology which has accelerated the pace of our lives, so that we find ourselves with many tasks we can’t complete and many friends we cannot see, with the end of the year fast approaching its time to set down the computer and mobile phone and relax from downloading another App! Its time for something more traditional, such as giving your friends a phone call, inviting family members out for some fun, or just writing letters to yourself! Don’t waste the rest of 2012! All the best!

一年容易又秋天，

2012年的秋季似乎眨眼即至，

小時候老是覺得學期很長過年很久才到，

長大了事情越來越多朋友越來越多，

但是事卻做不完、朋友也沒連絡，

時代在進步，資訊數量之龐大令人震驚，

這個世界就可以製造出同量的資訊，是不是很神奇呢？

─﹥一看到日文這句話就很喜歡，不是彰顯

奢華，而是在旅途中享受任意的小奢

華，平常吃飯總不忘計算餐費與卡路里，管它

的，今天就找個「天氣真好」的藉口開瓶氣泡

酒、來塊巧克力吧！平常連生病都捨不得請假的

拼命工作著，今天就是想任性請假、和自己喝杯

咖啡放空；計畫好久的旅行終於出發了，剛好碰

到SPA優惠、沒理由不寵愛自己一下⋯就像收

集生活中的「小確幸」般，找各種理由做開心的

事、享受「我說了算」的自由，這種小小的奢華

任性，投資在旅程回憶中，總覺得格外開心呢！

秋天，真的很適合實現以上這些金黃色的幻

想，所以我們把這一切奢華想像化為行程，放

進秋季「秋璨．分享驚艷」專案中，天天開紫醉

金迷的池畔派對，穿著歐洲貴族服飾氣勢入鏡

（但同仁都會變成搞笑），用最省荷包的方式體驗

專人SPA服侍，每房送一瓶氣泡酒與MOF主廚

特製甜點，任選時間地點開瓶慶祝吧；甚至抽中

專屬遊艇派對的幸運得主，還能再開一次海上

派對！實現了這些想像，但廣告可傷腦筋了，

奢華該如何表現呢？

那就是派對吧！找了漂亮Model穿戴上高雅

晚禮服與珠寶，立即化身池畔派對女主人，當

她穿梭在噴水池的水柱間，吸水變重的禮服、

的確讓她越走越慢越優雅！越趴越低的攝影

師、像忍者般眼睛都快低於水平面，只見鏡頭

仍不斷喀擦喀擦的拍攝著：「再來點煙火吧！」

攝影師高喊著，從晚上8點拍到11點，終於讓

Model脫離「水深火熱」的現場，抓到了讓人想

一起狂歡的派對意象畫面，吃苦當吃補的攝影

團隊，幕後花絮真的說也說不完！

「池畔派對真的是奢華極限了嗎？」當攝影

團隊產生了這樣的奢望時，原本舉辦發表會的

遊艇派對就順勢成了拍攝場景續篇，扛了氣泡

酒、飯店美食與當地小吃大排檔通通上船，準備

了釣竿與卡拉ok，依照總經理給的神秘Dress

Code—「看起來能舉辦遊艇派對的人」，團隊

翻箱倒櫃找了小禮服，約了媒體好朋友們，史

上最開心的一次拍攝經歷就這樣出發了⋯

團隊大喊著「天氣好好啊！」，活像會移動

的地中海場景—「藍鯨號」遊艇，乘風破浪

地開往龜山島，期待今天能幸運看到鯨魚啊⋯

Model穿上如維納斯般的白色禮服，裙襬隨

海風飛揚著，攝影師如同捉迷藏般、妳跑我追

的在各個角落拍攝著，換上黃色比基尼、與

Model陽光小麥膚色襯得無比耀眼，端上一杯

氣泡酒、或躺或臥的姿態都很上鏡，而團隊則

執行最難的一次行動－就是「袖手旁觀」！畢竟

晴空、大海、龜山島，還有甚麼比這個更好的

拍攝背景呢？！媒體好友們也不時側拍著參加派

對的10位貴賓們，道地小吃搭配氣泡酒意外對

味，初次海釣體驗半小時就上鉤漁獲4尾、連我

們都覺得不可思議的紀錄啊，這次苦惱的是，

照片都太棒了，到底該怎麼選呢？

Whenever I see this Japanese expression it naturally attracts my

fondness, for it’s not to highlight the luxurious but to enjoy a epitome

of luxuriant travel as you desire. So quite unlike the usual routine of

calculating one’s travel budget and counting calories, those are for

the birds. Instead, just for the joy of it, open a bottle of champagne

to enjoy on a beautiful day, or a favorite chocolate to treat yourself;

even though when you are ill you only most reluctantly ever take a

広告が伝えたいことは……「プチ贅沢な旅」-ちょっと贅沢の旅行を楽しめよ！ 「プチ贅沢な旅」という日本語の表現が大好き！贅沢を誇示す

ることではなく、旅の中に意外なちょっと贅沢を楽しむのであろう！普段食事するときいつもカロリーを計算する私は、今日「天気がいい」の理由で発泡酒一本、ひとつの甘いチョコレートを楽しめよ！病気でも出勤する私は、今日こそ理由なき休暇を取って自分と一緒にコーヒーを飲みたい。計画している旅を出て、SPA

のキャンペーンも利用して自分のことを甘やかしたい……生活中の「小確幸」を収集するようにさまざまな理由で幸せなことをやって、「私が決める」の自由を楽しんできた。こんなわがままなプチ贅沢がいっぱい入っている旅の思い出は、なかなか楽しかった。

　その金色のファンタジーを実現したいのはやはり秋であろう。そのため我々はその贅沢な発想を実現し、秋の「秋の輝き、多彩なサプライズ」プロジェクトを計画してきた。毎日にぎやかなプールパーティーの開催、ヨーロッパ貴族の服装でコスプレ（社員たちはいつもボケている）、一番お得な価格のSPAプラン、一

部屋当り一本の発泡酒と特製デザートの贈呈などを提供するから、お好みの時間と場所で盛り上がろう！さらに抽選でモーターヨットパーティを当せんしたお客様はさらに一度海上パーティをできる。しかし、一つ困ることがあって、それは贅沢さをどうやってアピールするのか。

　やはりパーティでしょう！イブニングドレスと宝石で飾るモデルはプールパーティの女主人に変身する。噴水の水柱の間に歩く彼女たちは、水濡れで重くなるドレスで歩ければ歩くほどゆっくりになり、もっとおしゃれに！忍びのような目を持つカメラさんたちは「もっと花火を！」と叫び、夜 8時から11時までの撮影やっと終了、モデルも遂に「水と火のひどい苦境」から解放することになった。盛り上がるパーティの風景をたくさん撮った撮影チームに、実は苦しくて苦しい物語が言い足りないのであるよ。

　「プールパーティは贅沢の限界なの？」と、撮影チームたちはこう考えると、発表会として行われるモーターヨットパーティついに撮影イベントの延長ラインとなった。発泡酒、ホテルと地元の美味しい料理をすべて船に運んで、釣り竿とカラオケ装置も用意。沈総経理による秘密ドレスコード－「モーターヨットパーティをできそう人」に従い、皆さんは自分にふさわしいイブニングドレスを着用し、さらにマスコミ関係者も招待してから史上一番楽しい撮影の旅に出る。

　「いい天気だ！」と叫ぶ撮影チーム。動く地中海の風景のような「藍鯨号（シロナガスクジラ丸）」モーターヨットは、白い波をのみこんで亀山島に向かっていく。クジラを見えたい！風とともに揺れる白いドレスを着るモデルがカメラさんにかくれんぼのように追いかけられ、黄色のビキニを着替え、太陽と麦色のモデルの肌にぴったり。発泡酒一杯を持って、座っても、横たわっても素敵な写真を撮られる。さらに晴れ空、海、亀山島も撮影の最高の素材となる。記者たちも10名のパーティ VIPの姿を撮りながら、発泡酒に意外に合う美味しい料理も楽しんだのである。初めての海釣りの体験でわずか30分で4匹の魚を捕って、不思議な記録を残った。しかし、一番悩んでるのは、素敵な写真が多すぎで、選べないのよ～

That’s just about the parties! Once we selected a beautiful model

wearing an exquisitely graceful evening gown and bedecked with

ornate jewelry, as hostess for the Party by the Pond, as she is subtly

placed amidst the water fountain, and the gown becomes heavy

as it soaks in the water, her pace is slower, and more graceful! As

the photographer lowers his torso to capture the scene, it’s as if a

Ninja descends below the surface, with only a mirror and ceaseless

clicks of the camera shutters! “More fireworks!” commands the

photographer, from 8pm to 11pm, the model finally finished working

amidst the backdrop of “Waters Deep and Fiery Heat”, perfectly

capturing the inviting image of joining in a joyous party together, as

the photography team proved once again their ability to work hard to

get the ultimate, perfect shot, through behind the scenes efforts which

words cannot express.

But will the Party by the Pond really be the most luxuriant? When

the shoot team developed this desire, the original plans for the Yacht

Party became an additional set. So the champagne, hotel cuisine and

local specialties all had to be readied for the yacht too, and when the

fishing gear and Kara OK were ready, we selected people who met the

CEO’s unique Dress Code requirements- “people who look like they’d

attend a Yacht Party”. Then the entire team obtained all the party wear

needed, and invited the media and friends, to embark on one of our

most enjoyable shoots ever…

As the team were elated, “the weather is really perfect today!”, the

seemingly mobile Mediterranean set- the “Blue Whale” yacht, set

off for Turtle Island, in the hopes of capturing some whale images…

while the model was dressed in an almost Venetian style white

gown, and the trails blew in the sea breeze. The photographer deftly

moved about as if playing Hide-n-Go-Seek throughout the yacht.

After changing into a yellow bikini, the model’s natural skin color

came into a beautiful poise, and with a glass of champagne, or lying

or sitting, all of the shots were exquisitely completed, while the entire

team found the hardest part being “merely watching”! Especially since

what could be more beautiful than capturing the imagery of the blue

skies and azure-jade seas, or Turtle Island in the backdrop?! The media

guests also took photos of the ten specially invited VIPs, enjoying

local specialties along with the champagne, and the good fortune of

capturing four fish in the first thirty minutes of deep sea fishing. We

could not believe our good fortune, the only problem being, with so

many outstanding photos, which ones should we select?

們，也許夢想這件事除了勇氣之外，更需要的

舞，跟不上節拍卻認真的模樣風靡全場；國中

的孩子，上台感謝資助人的幫忙，他害羞的說：

「謝謝資助人跟台灣世界展望會，讓我有機會到

學校上課，還可以參加社團學跳舞⋯」哽咽的

聲音傳達了真誠；吉他情歌王子小琴開唱囉！

穩定的台風，自彈自唱的動人旋律，唱進每個

人心理⋯孩子們為了夢想揮舞的汗水、希望讓

資助人與有榮焉的心意，看在眼裡份外動人⋯

原來，夢想不是專屬權利，只要有勇氣就能拿

到入場門票！永遠都在追逐夢想的老爺大酒店

─﹥五月天在09年「D.N.A五月天創造演唱

會」中這麼寫著，時至今日，我依然深

深被這些文字的熱度感動著！夢想，應該是唯

一不需要提供履歷的工作吧！

夢想需要基本條件嗎？那天，在台灣世界展

望會，為受助孩子舉辦的豐盛生命成長發表會

中，我看見夢想的力量⋯國小的孩子表演團隊

勇敢夢，然後用力實現吧！

日前在飯店發表了「讓想像飛」公益資助計畫，

希冀透過資助聚焦於文化、藝術與設計領域的

提案，號召文化藝術與設計美學的年青人，投

入社會公益，只要能影響孩子們的公益提案，

透過專業評選機制，撥款資助執行經費，讓充

滿想像力的公益提案可具體落實！宜蘭縣長機

台湾人気ポップバンドの五月天は、この記事のテーマを2009年

「DNA五月天創造コンサート」で始めて語った。いままでも感動の

気持ちが続けている。やっぱり、夢を見るのは履歴書提供なきの仕

事でしょう。

　夢に基本条件は必要となるか。ワールドビジョン台湾が主催

する子供の豊かな生命成長発表会で、夢のパワーを見えるように

なった。小学校の生徒たちがダンスをアピールし、リズム感をつ

かまなくても来場の皆さんを魅了した。中学校の生徒は、ステー

ジでちょっと恥ずかしくて応援に謝意をした。「サポーターの皆様、

ワールドビジョン台湾の皆様、ありがとう！皆様のおかげで学校の

勉強を続けるようになり、また部活を参加してダンスを覚えるよう

になりました。」と泣き声で本心を伝えた。次は「ギター王子」の

琴くんの歌う時間で、安定する演技、人を感動するメロディは、皆

さんの心を届ける。子供たちが夢のため流れる汗、そうしてサポー

ターたちの誇りをあげる気持ちに皆さんも感銘した。夢には特許権

がない。勇気があればだれでも入場券をもらえるわけである！いつ

も夢を追いかけているロイヤルホテルグループCEO兼礁溪ロイヤ

ルホテル総経理の沈方正は自分の経験を語った。「学生時代、ダン

ス、講演、ラグビーなどサークルを参加して、何でも最高、最後ま

で頑張ってきた。皆さんはまだ若くて、未熟のことまだいっぱいあ

りますが、夢を忘れなく、何でも試して、夢を強く信じて、いつか

勇敢な強い人間になるぞ！」と子供たちを励ました。やっぱり夢に

とって勇気だけではなく、ちょっといいタイミングの啓発も必要で

ある。

　子供は未来の希望であり、子供の夢を応援するのがもっと大切

である。そのため、礁溪ロイヤルのパートナーである法藍瓷（フラ

ンツ）社は「想像力を飛ばせよ！」公益サポート計画を発表し、文

化、芸術、デザイン分野をサポートする提案を通じて、若い新鋭作

家、芸術家とデザイナーたちを呼びかけ、公益活動に貢献してもら

いたい。子供たちにいい影響を与える公益活動の提案であるかぎり、

専門家たちの選考体制と通じて支援金でサポートすることが可能と

なり、想像力のある提案を実現させる。宜蘭県長首席秘書の黃玲娜

女史、就任したばかりの宜蘭県文化局長の林秋芳女史などの方々は

応援に出席してもらった。法藍瓷（フランツ）社代表取締役の陳

立恒氏は、「想像力計画で若者に美学とシェアの美徳と伝承を伝え、

夢が責任の始めであることを理解してもらいたい。ただし今の社会

には汚染が多すぎだ！巨匠のピカソも『すべての子供たちは芸術家

だが、大人になってもとの単純を守れない！』と痛感した。これか

らも数多くの若者が自分の知識と技を貢献し、人を助けて、そうし

てこんな美しい理念を次の世代に教えてもらいたい！」礁溪ロイヤ

2009, the vocal group May Day held a “DNA May Day Concert”,

during which they wrote words, which to this day, still inspire

me! Dreaming, should be the only work that does not require a

resume!

Are there any basic job qualifications for a Dreamer? One day,

as we were raising funds to help children through the World

Vision (Taiwan), through a Enriched Life Development Press

Conference, I saw the power of dreams come to life… as soon

as the elementary school students took the stage, though they

could not keep up with the pace, their sturdy determination was

quite apparent throughout; when one middle school student

went on stage, to express thanks for the donors, somewhat

shyly he said: “Thank you for supporting of World Vision

(Taiwan), so I could have the chance to attend school, and

participate in our Dance Club…”. His voice expressed his honesty.

culture, the arts and design project grant proposals. The effort

aims at stimulating young artists and designers, to join in public

interest and charitable efforts, through grant proposals designed

to help children. By employing a professional evaluation

process, we hope to lend support to fund useful projects,

ensuring that truly imaginative grant proposals can be realized!

Setting deep roots in support for public interest activities

has been a continuing theme of the Hotel Royal Chiaohsi, as

we have endeavored to encourage our guests to discover

the traditional arts and crafts of Yilan. Whether its ironwork,

embroidered shoes, or temple paintings…we believe that saving

the endangered arts is an imperative. The auction raised funds

song entered all our hearts… as the children sweat to achieve

their dreams through dance, hoping to inspire more donors to

contribute, one could not help but be inspired as well… so it is,

that dreaming does not belong to only one, rather anyone with

the courage to dream can do so! The Hotel Royal Group and

Hotel Royal Chiaohsi CEO Fangcheng Shen, a self-confessed

lifelong dreamer, shared his personal experiences when he said:

“I remember when I was just a student, I took part in dance

competitions, debate and speech competitions, and football

competitions… working hard to do my best in every event, my

very best! Perhaps your personal strength is limited, even so, do

not forget to dream, relax and try, to dream a little, dreaming can

help you have the courage to be stronger!” All the children were

very moved by these words, so perhaps dreaming needs not

only some courage, but more importantly, some inspiration!

Children are the repository of hope for our future, so they

must learn not only how to dream but also how to build their

dreams! That is why the Hotel Royal Chiaohsi is cooperating

with the Franz Collection. We recently hosted the “Let Dreams

Fly” public charity event, in the hopes of generating support for

for disadvantaged children, and each expression of support,

joined with each charitable gift, to help encourage the recipient

youth to have the courage to dream their dreams…

Dreaming has always been a source of inspiration for the

Hotel Royal Chiaohsi! Next year, we hope to help share our

motivation to building the future with youth, as we combine

public interest and cultural creativity resources, and cultural

and artistic energy to unlock the dreamer gene! Whether

through our staff at the Hotel Royal Chiaohsi as volunteers,

visiting remote areas to share their experiences; or inviting local

artists, to share their arts with us; all can become stronger with

the Chiaohsi! Our Chiaohsi Exercise Club is helping youth to

expand their horizons through exercise… as we hope each child

will live a life filled with the power of imagination! It's just as

the lyrics of the song by the May Day vocal group, “dreams are

always flowing against the tide, as if backlit, with but a silhouette

outline, but the detailing, and realization, and are not only about

hope! You have to try to succeed! However big are you dreams,

will be the measure of your success as you realize them in the

real world!

　文化クリエイティブ産業への支援と公益に対する関心は、礁

溪ロイヤルにとっていつまでも続ける課題であり、さらにお客様に

宜蘭伝統芸術の美しさの再発見を案内し、鍛冶も、刺繍の靴も、お

寺の壁画も、失う寸前の芸術の技は生活の一番美しい記憶である。

我々の仲間である「春仔花」刺繍の陳恵美先生はいつも「宜蘭には

ロイヤルさんがあって、よかったですね。地元文化の美しさを大切

にして、さらに皆に共有するし…」。公益に関心を与える当ホテル

は、300人を動員しワールドビジョン台湾と共に園遊会を開催し、

子供の福祉義捐金を募集した。そうして慈懷基金会とクリスマス慈

善バザーを開催し、全国から集まる100件以上の逸品を売り込んで

生活に悩んでる子供たちに支援金を支えた。すべての力と支援金は

養分になって、子供が夢を追いつける勇気を与えてもらおう！

なって愛が伝えられた。

纏花（客家伝統の造花）技術は、時代の推移とその製作過程の

複雑さから、一度は廃れそうになった。恵美先生は、積極的にクラ

スを開いてその技術を後世に残そうとしている。頑なに伝統の工法

を守り、花一つに数時間もかけて作り上げる。先生は言う。「昔か

らの作り方を守ることが亡くなった愛玉先生を尊重することにな

ります。後進を育てるとき、新しい息吹を吹き込んで斬新なものを

創っていくことは非常に重要ですが、伝統も忘れてはなりません。」

恵美先生は、いつも花を作りながら、老眼鏡をかけたやさしい眼で

私たちとおしゃべりする。口を開けば、必ず言うこと、それは伝承

の大切さ。いつもやさしく微笑みながら言う。「私の頭がボケない

うちに、手先が利くうちに、早くこの技術と方法を若い世代に伝え

たいのよ。できるだけ多くの人に伝えて、継承する人がほしいの。」

守るのは、たとえ小さな「春仔花」でも、伝統を守り抜く恵美先生

がいればこそ、愛玉お婆ちゃんの心は引き継がれ、大切な伝統文化

が伝承されて行く。

夢をみて！必ず叶う！一緒に実現しよう！夢は、礁溪ロイヤルの仲

間たちが常に情熱になっている要因である。来年は、さらに子供た

ちと一緒に未来の夢をみて、公益と文化クリエイティブ産業の資源

と力を合わせて夢のDNAを創りたい！ボランティア事業をしたり、

遠隔区域で授業をしたり、地元の職人を招いて文化の技を指導して

が歌ってるように「夢は逆光に姿の影を映られて、単なる推測じゃ

なく細かいところもちゃんと体験しろ！」果敢に行こう！夢が大き

當老爺也要運動喔 !第一回ロイヤルカップ運動会～

王様 (ロイヤル )でも運動しなきゃ！The first annual Hotel Royal Sportsfest~

─﹥某天接到通知「小馬你要參加運動會

喔！」，下意識就回答「沒問題！」回神

後才想到，我不是在飯店工作嗎？怎麼會有運

動會呢？身為老爺菜鳥的我覺得有點奇怪，但

眼見其他同事卻習以為常、見怪不怪，一問之

下才知道，原來當老爺人常常都要運動一下！

運動會當天，天氣大好，鬧鐘沒響、我卻自

然醒了，有一股小時候參加運動會的熱血感，

讓我非常期待！抵達比賽會場，發現好多同仁

已經在會場熱身了，各個老爺飯店的同仁都來

了，知本、礁溪、新竹、台北等姊妹飯店共

100多位同仁齊聚一堂，好不熱鬧！身為飯

店人的我，忽然感覺，一場小小的運動會，大

家也許不覺得什麼，但是對飯店而言，假日時

刻，要動員所有人的熱血，在四館現場還要維

持高品質的服務水準，這是一項很大的挑戰！

當天比賽項目有拔河、躲避球、籃球三大友

誼賽，在比賽前、我可先上網做了功課，看了

統一拍的「拔一條河」的電影，這部電影是說

一群在高雄甲仙經歷過風災的小朋友，原本失

去自信的他們，藉由拔河重新建立起自信心。

看完以後，自覺信心十足，影片中的小朋友告

訴了我，可以藉由一些技巧，來彌補力量的不

足，果真臨時抱佛腳還是有用的！第一場礁溪

同仁瞬間傻掉，沒想到執行長揮揮手，還對這

位同仁比出「讚」的手勢，接著全場掌聲四起，

這就是運動家的精神！老爺盃比賽沒有職等之

分，只有用盡全力的參與，我想這就是集團定

期舉辦運動會的原因吧！輸贏固然重要，但全

部的同仁一起參與、一起為了團隊榮譽而努力

的精神，才是最重要的老爺靈魂！

看到這裡，是否也躍躍欲試呢？也許有一

天，老爺集團會舉辦老爺盃貴賓運動會，到時

候歡迎所有老爺的朋友一同來熱血喔∼ YA！

老爺贏囉！大夥卯足全力後的勝利，真的格外

振奮人心！但隨之而來也有了一些紀念品，每

一位同事因為要夾住拔河繩，所以身體有了瘀

青；用盡全力的雙腿也開始抽筋；號稱富貴奶油

小生的我，雙手也腫了起來⋯但我想這是凝聚

大家力量的證明、勇士的印記⋯

用盡全力的拔河比賽後，接著是躲避球賽，

雖然前一場拔河活動的影響，大家閃躲的姿勢

似乎稍微緩慢，但比賽依然是非常刺激的，旁

邊的啦啦隊更是熱情！霎時忽然聽到全場大

叫，回過神的我才發現，原來是老爺集團的沈

執行長被球打到了！全場「喔」的一聲，出手的

全部的同仁一起參與、

一起為團隊榮譽而努力的精神，

才是最重要的老爺靈魂！

ボールで、綱引きのせいで皆さんの動きが遅くなってい

るが、依然として激しい試合であり、応援団も熱狂！急

に皆さん叫び声を上げて、ロイヤルホテル沈総経理が当

てられた！ボールを投げた社員も唖然する…思わずに沈

総経理は手を振って、さらに彼にサムズアップをしても

らった。皆さんも大拍手した。試合には上司も部下もい

ない、全力を挙げることというスポーツマン精神は、当

社グループが定期的に運動会を行う理由であろう！勝負

するのが大事であるが、仲間たちが一緒に参加し、一緒

にチームの名誉のために努力する意気は、ロイヤルの最

も重要な魂である。

The first annual Hotel Royal Sportsfest~ A Hotel Royal staffer will have to exercise

One day I received a notice “Mr. Ma, will you be taking part

in the Sportsfest!”, and my subconscious answer was “no

problem!” But after mindfully considering the matter I recalled,

I have work to do at the hotel, so how can I take part in a

Sportsfest? As a greenhorn at the Hotel Royal, I felt it all a little

stranger, but seeing all my colleagues considering everything

to be typical, even normal, it was then I realized, Hotel Royal

staffers are almost always exercising!

On the day of the Sportsfest, with excellent weather, and

even without the sound of an alarm to awaken me, I woke

naturally, with that youthful spirit of expectation to participate,

and I had high hopes! After arriving to the stadium, I noticed

many colleagues were already warming up there. All the staff

from the Hotel Royal Group in Chihpen, Chiaohsi, Hsinchu,

and Taipei, with more than a 100 competitors joining together!

But as a hotel staffer, I felt like, the event even though a small

competitive Sportsfest, was not particularly remarkable in itself,

but for the hotel, at that moment on the weekend, to motivate

so many staff from all the properties to be present and enhance

the quality of service, was indeed a significant challenge and

accomplishment!

On the day of the competition, we held events such as team

tug-of-war, dodgeball, and basketball. Before the events, I went

online to see how it was done. Uni-President had produced a

film entitled Tug of War. This film features children from Jiaxian

in Kaohsiung who had suffered through a natural disaster.

Originally they had lost their self-confidence, but their Tug-of-

war experiences helped them regain their self-esteem. After

watching it, I felt full of confidence, as the children in the film

expressed, it’s possible use some techniques, which can help

compensate for a lack of strength, and when you most need

them, they will really work for you! In the first round, Hotel Royal

Chiao Hsi won! After this big confidence booster, we were all

really excited! Of course, victory was not without its prices.

Everyone had to be strapped to the rope, so we were all covered

in bruises; and the overused muscles started to cramp; and

given my nickname of butterball, my hands started to swell…

but then I recalled this was the synergistic result of all of our

team efforts, and the marks of our courage…

After the tug of war, we played dodgeball, and while as a

result of the tug of war our dodgeball efforts were somewhat

slowed, the competition was still exciting, and the cheerleading

squads were very enthusiastic! Suddenly I heard a loud sound

and regained my attention, as the Hotel Royal Group CEO Mr.

Shen had been hit by the dodgeball! Everyone said “uh-oh!”

embarrassing the colleague who had thrown the ball on target.

But the CEO just waived it away, and gave this colleague a

sign of “Great Job!” by gesticulation, and the event continued

in the true enduring spirit of athleticism. In the Hotel Royal

Group Sportsfest, all our staffs are equal competitors, who

share in their wholehearted participation, and that is why the

Group continues to host this annual event! Whilst winning and

losing might be important, it is the total unified support of our

colleagues working together for the team, which represents the

true spirit of the Hotel Royal Group!

By now, surely you are eager to have your try at a Sportsfest?

Perhaps one day the Hotel Royal will host a Hotel Royal Cup VIP

Guest Competition, and invite all our Hotel Royal guests to join

with us~ Yeah!

第一回ロイヤルカップ運動会～王様(ロイヤル)でも運動しなきゃ！

ある日、「馬くん！お前も運動会に参加してくれ！」と

言われる僕は「はい！わかった！」と無意識で返事した

が、「へ！？ホテルなのに何で運動会が？」と後に気付い

た。ちょっと違和感を感じている新人の僕と比べて先輩

の皆さんは平気であり、定番の行事と認める気がする。

よく聞いてからロイヤルグループの一員として常にス

ポーツをするべきとわかった。

運動会当日の天気がよかった。アラーム時計が鳴かない

のに、子供の頃に運動会を期待する熱血で僕は自然に目

覚めた。会場に着くと、知本、礁溪、新竹、台北などの

支店から約100名の仲間たちがウォーミングアップする様

子を見た僕は本当に感心している！ただの運動会である

が、休日のホテルにとってこんなに動員し、そうして通

常のサービスレベルも通常通りで運営するのは、かなり

大きな挑戦であろう！

当日の試合項目は綱引き、ドッジボール、バスケット

ボールがある。綱引きの試合前に、先にインターネット

で台湾セブンイレブンが製作した ｢綱引きをしよう｣ 映

画を見た。これは台湾高雄の甲仙地域で台風災害に襲わ

れた子供だちの物語で、自信を失った彼たちは綱引きの

練習でも一度自信を立て直した。見てから自信満々とな

り、映画に教えてもらう技も力の不足を補ってもらった。

やっぱり直前の詰め込み勉強もある程度役に立つよね！

第一戦は我々礁溪ホテルが勝った！本当に興奮するが、

この後はたくさんの「おみや

げ」が出て、体に紫のアザ、足

もけいれん、モテモテ美男子と呼ば

れる僕には、手も腫れた。しかし、こ

れは皆さんの力が合わせた証明であ

り、そうして勇士の印でもある。

全力で挙げる綱引きの後はドッジ

─﹥最近因為協助籌備知本老爺20週年

慶，接觸了超人醫生徐超斌的事蹟：台

東偏鄉（大武 /達仁 /金鋒鄉）離最近重病症醫院

60公里、車程約2.5小時，從前的鄉民們晚上

或假日沒有生病的權力，甚至流傳「小病慢慢等

好、大病靜靜等死」的無奈傳言，直到徐超斌醫

生的出現，寧可拋下奇美醫院急診室主治醫生

的光環，拋棄40萬高薪毅然回鄉服務的他獨自

守護4141位台東偏鄉居民，直到39歲、連續

看診80小時而疲累中風，左半身被封印的超人

至今仍每周開將近環島般長里程，在台東冒險

開一個山頭又一個山頭的巡診著⋯

「也許有生之年，未必能看到南迴醫院成立，

但我只知道如果沒有開始，永遠不可能！」所以

徐醫生為鄉民請命、申請成立「南迴醫療財團法

人基金會」，立即有林姓女士捐了一塊地（市價

三千萬）做為申請基金，但建院救命、卻是政府

50年前承諾卻走不到的漫漫長路⋯基金會送審

之際，他婉拒企業捐款、希望獲得全民關注，

更希望政府實踐50年前的承諾補助撥款，出身

達仁鄉的徐醫生回憶兒時，小妹就是因為未及

送至醫院而辭世，也讓他立定了從醫救人的志

向，放棄權位高薪、甚至犧牲健康的奉獻著，

他卻總是爽朗笑著說：「自從中風後不再能當超

人、我只剩下帥，讓年長病人也能安心笑著的

那種帥，但我不可能帥到永遠，所以希望大家

幫忙！」如此白袍風骨真的讓人動容！為尊重

徐醫生意願，礁溪老爺自9月15日起特別發動

「醫磚醫瓦蓋起來 南迴醫院建院萬人連署案」計

畫，號召老爺集團共同連署支持，更開始動員

連署、策畫募款平台，很希望以台東鄉民生命

等候的建院時程能越短越好⋯

一發動這項計畫，每一天，就像活生生上演

台灣熱血全紀錄，不可能的都變成可能，過程

信じているこそ、堅持より放棄が難しい！ゼロから完成まで、南迴病院建設の万人連署提案

小さな無差別の思いやり行動でこの世界に何かを変えることができ

る。だからこそやりましょう！最近、知本ロイヤルホテルの20回目アニバーサリーを準備するこ

とにより、スーパードクター徐超斌先生の事跡を認識した。台東県における遠隔区域（大武郷/達仁郷/金鋒郷）から一番近い重症専門病院まで60キロ・車で2.5時間の距離があるので、昔の住民たちは昼でも、夜でも病気になる「権利」がなかったという。さらに「小さな病気なら平気で治癒まで待って、深刻な病気なら静かに死ぬまで待つ」というどうしようもないうわさがあった。徐超斌先生は、有名な奇美病院救命救急センター主治医の肩書と月給40万台湾ドル（日本円100万円にあたる）をあきらめ、4141名住民の健康を守るためにふるさとに帰ってきた。39歳のとき、連続勤務80時間の過労で脳卒中になり、左半身が「封印」されるスーパードクターは、いままでも毎週のスケジュール通り車で台東における各遠隔集落を回って患者たちに奉仕している……「生きて南廻病院の完成を見えないかもしれませんが、（建設の）始

めがなければ、永遠に不可能となりますよね！」と語る徐先生。従って住民を代わりに病院の設立を提唱し、「南廻医療財団法人基金会」の設立を申請し、50年前政府がすでに約束していままでも実現できない病院建設を始動させた。すぐ匿名の女性の方は3000万台湾ドルに当たる土地を貢献した。基金会設立の申請審査の際、先生は企業からの献金を拒否し、代わりに国民の関心を望み、さらに政府が50年前の約束を実現し、補助金を給付することを訴えている。達仁郷出身、病院に間に合わずに妹を亡くした徐先生は、幼い頃から医者となって人の命を救う志向を決めた。偉い肩書や高い給料をあきらめ、自分の健康状況も無視しながら貢献している。「脳卒中になってからスーパードクターをやめなきゃならないだね！ハンサムな顔だけだ！お年寄りの患者さんたちに安心に笑わせるハンサムな顔だよね！でも、こんなハンサムな顔が永遠に続けませんので、皆さんの力が欲しい！」と感銘な話を徐先生が語った。徐先生の願いに従って、礁溪ロイヤルホテルは9月15日から「ゼロから完成まで、南迴病院建設の万人連署提案」計画を起動し、全グループの社員を呼びかけ、連署活動に向けて動員し、募金計画を参画してきた。早ければ早いほど病院の建設を完成したかったのである。

この計画が発足してから毎日には、不可能を可能にする台湾人の情熱をよく見えるようになり、本当に感動した。台湾政府国策顧問に就任したばかりで、長距離ジョギングでシルクロードを制覇する第一

We can make a difference in the world with one small act of random

kindness, so let’s do it...

Recently as we have been planning for the 20th anniversary of the Hotel

Royal Chihpen, we learned of the incredible work of Dr. Chaobin Hsu: in

the remote areas of Taitung such as Dawu, Daren and Jinfeng Townships,

the nearest critical care hospitals are 60km away, and require two and a

half hours drive. So residents realize all to acutely that they cannot fall ill

at night or on weekends, and for minor illnesses they tend to feel bound

by destiny to say “just wait and see if it doesn’t get better, while for critical

illness just peaceably wait for one’s place in heaven” , until Dr. Chaobin Hsu

appeared, leaving his role as the Chief of the Chimei Hospital Emergency

Room, and forgoing his monthly income of NT$400,000, to return to the

countryside and serve the 4,141 remote rural residents of Taitung, until he

turned 39 and suffered a stroke as a result of continuous clinical care for 80

hours. This Superman’s left side hemiparalysis has not prevented him from

continuing the equivalent of a route around the entire island of Taiwan

every week, as he continues to visit remote areas of Taitung each week

providing roving clinical outreach.

“It may be that in our lifetimes, we will live to see the Nan-Hui (East

Coast) Hospital ideal realized, but one thing is certain, if we never get

started, it will surely not happen!” So Dr. Hsu has been advocating for the

villagers, to establish a Nanhui(East Coast) Medical Foundation, which

immediately met with the extremely generous anonymous donation of

a plot of land (valued at NT$30,000,000) from a female donor to serve

as trust fund lands to generate income for the foundation. But building

the hospital and caring for the sick have been public policy pledges

from more than fifty years ago and their fulfillment has been at a snail’s

pace… As the foundation begins the official registration process, Dr. Hsu

has declined corporate donations, in the hopes of securing widespread

public attention, as well as encouraging the government to fulfill their five

decade old pledge to provide subsidies. As a native of Dawu Township,

when Dr. Hsu recalls his childhood, the painful loss of little sister who was

unable to get to the hospital in time, has long motivated his dedication

to providing life-saving medical care for others. Forgoing his high salary,

and even sacrificing his health in the process, he yet remains optimistic

as he laughingly says: “ after my stroke I am no longer a Superman, only

a handsome man, and even that is just the kind of handsomeness that

senior citizens appreciate, and I can’t be handsome forever, so I need

everybody’s help!”. Such a spirit of caregiving is truly moving! So to

contribute to Dr. Hsu’s vision, starting from September 15, the Hotel Royal

Chiao-Hsi has begun our “Brick by brick, let’s work together to sign the

petition to build the Nan-Hui (East Coast) Hospital” project, asking all our

Hotel Royal Group stakeholders to sign, and to establish a fundraising

platform, in the hopes of ensuring the long-awaited dreams of the people

of Taitung to accessible healthcare will be soon fulfilled.

The foundation intends to raise sufficient funds for the planned budget,

and in accordance with Dr. Hsu’s wishes, will recommend that the

Department of Health provide subsidies for healthcare facilities benefiting

remote residents of Taitung, and bridge the medical care disparity gap.

Taipei has 62 residents for each physician while in Taiting 4,141 have only

one physician. Life is precious, whether we speak of life collectively or

individually, so this petition to save lives should not be merely the sole effort

of Dr. Hsu. Indeed as a one co-signer said: “There should be no healthcare

disparity gaps”. So we hope everyone will sign, and join signature to

signature like bricks of a solid wall. You too can join us, giving your

support to the petition, or heading to Facebook to show your support and

willingness to participate in a future charity auction. Let’s work together

to help provide care for our medical orphans across the remote areas of

Taitung, showing that the real purpose of our perspicacity and dedication,

作生意前先交個朋友吧！商売する前に、とりあえず友達になろう！

Before talking business,

its best to be friends!

─﹥七年前剛開始接觸業務的工作，老實說

有些不知從何處著手，面對客戶除了

看似專業的介紹飯店外，其餘的時間都期待客

戶可以有所回應，問一些飯店相關的事物讓拜

訪的過程能順利進行，當然不是每次都那麼幸

運，常常都要找尋話題來破解尷尬的瞬間，但

「找話題」這件事對於剛從美國回來的菜鳥業務

來說還挺不容易的，運氣好一點會遇到同樣自

海外歸國的客戶，則可以發現一些共同的經歷

拉近距離，運氣不好則有「話不投機半句多」的

冏境，接著就是「謝謝再連絡」，業務總不能老

是靠「運氣」來做吧！？

在某次內部的會議中聽到一位比較有業務經驗

的同事說了一句「做不成生意也可以當朋友」，

這句話讓我對業務工作有另一種想法。推銷商品

或許有許多主觀意識的存在，但是交朋友應該是

與生俱來的本領吧 !而我也開始在工作中交朋友 ,

更從這些朋友的口中學到不少作生意的方法及不

同的生活經驗分享，不自覺的從各行各業學到更

多的話題，讓我可以交更多的朋友。

這些年認識了不少同行的業務工作人員也和

不少有緣人共事過，期間聽到不少「某某公司預

算不高、某某客戶不容易溝通⋯」等等只見一次

面或通過一次電話就得到結論的說法，而往往

機會就隨著這個結論消逝而去；我自己倒是有

不少與上述不同的經驗跟大家分享，曾經有一

家外商客戶在飯店開幕初期，由於當時總公司

有些政策因素，讓海外分公司辦活動的預算有

限，也不容易讓我有服務的機會，不過我仍然

用「交朋友」的心態不斷地提醒他有一個從事飯

店業務的朋友。2年後總公司的政策改變了，而

服務的機會來了，自然而然來自這位朋友的電

話也響了，就這樣我們作了7年的朋友及5年的

生意，這期間有不少同業爭相拜訪他，但始終

是一句「我和礁溪老爺是多年的朋友了⋯」，甚

至還介紹了不少其他的客戶來飯店辦活動，你

說交這個朋友不值得嗎？非常值得吧！！

以上只是許多「交朋友」的故事裡其中一則罷

了，還有許多值得分享的精彩片段可以聊個三

天二夜吧！想聽的話不如我們可以先交個朋友；

也藉此機會與初踏入業務工作的新鮮人分享這

句來自我的前任同事的金玉良言∼生意前先交

個朋友吧！

商売する前に、とりあえず友達になろう！

七年前、はじめて営業の仕事をやるとき、正直にいうとどうやってうまく行けるのか全然わからなかった。プロらしく当社ホテルを紹介するプレゼンテーションの後、お客様の反応やホテルに関わる質問をしてもらうのを待つだけであった。いつも「話題」で気まずい雰囲気を打ち解けなければならなくなっていた。ただし、アメリカの大学を出たばかりの私にとって、話題づくりはかなり難しかった。運がよければ同じアメリカから帰国したお客様と同じ話題をできるが、運がなければ会話できずに、最後は「また連絡する！」で終わった。やはり営業は運だけでいけないでしょう。

ある社内会議のきっかけで営業の先輩から「商売ならなくても友達になろう！」と教えられた私はずいに営業に対する観念を変えてきた。商品を販売するのが主観意識に左右されているが、友達をつくるのは生まれてからの本能でしょう。あれから仕事でたくさんの友達と知り合い、さらにいろんな商売のやり方と生活の経験を教えてもらい、各業界から数多くの「話題」を集めることのおかげで、もっと数多くの友達をつくった。

この数年間には、同じホテル業界の営業スタッフと知り合い、一緒に仕事をしてもらったが、時には「OO会社の予算が足りないな…XX様は交渉しにくいタイプだね…」のような結論を他人から聞いているが、結局商機はこのような消極的な考え方のせいで失ってしま

う。逆に私は上述したことと全然違う感想を語りたい。昔はある外資系会社の台湾支社の担当者と知り合ったが、その本社の政策であまり当社ホテルを利用できなかった。それにもかかわらず、私はずっと担当者と付き合い、2年後に本社の政策が変わる好機を乗り、やっと取引ができた。いままで7年間の友達となり、そうして5年間の取引をしている。その7年間にたくさんのほかのホテル業者に訪問された彼は、「礁溪ロイヤルさんと長年間の付き合いだよ！」と断ってもらった。さらにほかのお客様を紹介し、当ホテルでイベントなどをやってきてもらった。やはり友達になり、絶対損はしないよね！

以上は、「友達をつくる」に関する話の一つだけである。全部話し切れば多分2泊3日の時間がかかるでしょう。お聞きになりたい？とりあえず友達になろう！最後には、社会人になったばかりのフレッシュマンに先輩の名言を教えてあげたい。「商売する前に、とりあえず友達になろう！」

Before talking business, its best to be friends!

Seven years ago when I was just beginning to engage in sales, I

had no idea where to start. Besides needing professionalism when

introducing our hotels to clients, the rest of the time was largely

waiting for clients to respond positively. Then there was time

spent learning about the hotel, so it would be easier to explain to

guests. Of course, sometimes it was not always so smooth, and it

was necessary to figure some way out of breaking the ice, which

was quite difficult for a greenhorn fresh back from the US. But with

fortuitous luck, it was possible to meet a client who had also just

returned from abroad with some shared experiences. But with

misfortune one finds themselves beset with “where nothing’s in

common, it may be a waste of words to talk”, followed by “thanks,

we’ll be in touch”, and sales cannot always rely merely on “good

luck” can they!?

During one staff meeting I overheard a more senior sales

representative saying “even if you can’t close the deal, you can still

make a friend”, and this helped change my perspective on doing

sales work. Promoting products may involve many subjective

elements, but making friends should come quite naturally! So I

began making friends during work, and learned much from them

about sales techniques and different life experiences. Soon I found

myself enriched from a variety of fields, so I was better able to make

many friends.

As I met many salesmen in the same field over the years and

many others rather serendipitously, I often heard that “Company

X’s budget is insufficient, Client Y is really tough to work with...”.

Even a single visit or phone call spelled out the conclusion, whilst

opportunities were lost with the finality of the conclusion. I also

have many not so dissimilar experiences from the above to share,

for example, once there was an overseas firm hosting a banquet to

celebrate their new operations here. At the time the headquarters

had some policy considerations, limiting the overseas subsidiaries

operating budgets, making it much harder for me to be of service,

but I used my sense of making friends to remind them of their

friend with experience in hotel operations. After two years

the headquarters policy considerations had changed, and the

opportunity to be of service had arrived, so that client called me,

and we have now had seven years of friendship and five years of

business cooperation to date. During this period many competitors

have visited him, but he has replied “I am a long-time friend of the

Hotel Royal Chiao-Hsi”. Indeed he has also recommended us many

new guests and clients for hosting activities, so surely making

friends with him was worthwhile, right? Very worthwhile indeed!!

The anecdote above is merely one example of “Making Friends”,

and there are many more similarly remarkable stories which we

could talk about for days! If you’d like to talk perhaps we could

begin by being friends; and through that opportunity begin that

insightful process of sharing which my former colleague described

猶記那天，炎熱的秋老虎氣焰高張，我處在心跳破表的緊張氛圍

中，此時我與同事們如同是等待超級偶像的小小粉絲⋯猶記賽德

克．巴萊上映時，熱血總經理包場，請飯店全體同仁看了這部史詩

鉅片，那時，魏德聖導演在我們心中就是個超厲害的導演，根本不

敢想能邀約他來礁溪老爺分享生活⋯但這個不可能的任務，居然在

長時間的等待，一次次的信件往返、電話聯繫，跨過太平洋幾乎繞

了地球一圈後實現了！鈴⋯電話鈴聲響起時，即宣告魏德聖導演講

座，即將在礁溪老爺開始囉！

會議廳裡座無虛席，貴賓、青年學子、大學老師、藝術家、文史

工作者及礁溪老爺同仁們共200多人，一看見心裡的偶像進場，全

場立即給予熱烈掌聲！依然保持平實之心的魏導害羞的笑著，開口

說：你們問，我就答吧！演講太正式了，而且令人緊張，我怕上台

恐懼症會發作，簡單話語瞬間讓氣氛輕鬆了起來⋯現在上台依然感

到些許緊張的魏導，一談起令他熱血沸騰的電影創作後，眼神的堅

毅及散發出的熱情，像是一道光，令大家震撼懾服。

以下簡單整理當天精采對談：

Q─請問魏導，在賽德克．巴萊拍攝過程中，幕前、幕後

很多波折，對於未來也是模糊不清的，請問魏導如何在不確

定中設定目標，讓一群專業的團隊，跟您一起在山上奔波，

又如何要求畫面的精準呈現？每次的情緒到位？這種 leader

ship要怎麼做到？

魏─電影本來就是一個作夢的行業、不會賺錢的行業！但

依然有人繼續工作，那表示這行業是有趣的，能夠為自己或

大家做些什麼，這不是我一個人的功勞，也許是我影響了某

個人，然後他再影響別人！當大家一起解決一件事，一次又

一次做到了不可能的鏡頭與困境，感覺是很熱血的！也許初

衷只是想參與台灣史上最大的製作，但卻一起度過了每個難

關，我一直認為，做一件好的大事會滿懷勇氣，當越來越多

夥伴參與並相信著，放棄其實比堅持還要難 !

Q─請問魏導，這部電影開拍前，就讀過賽德克．巴萊與

霧社事件相關的資料，包括魏導大作「導演．巴萊」，甚至我

們所有的夥伴們，還在台北包場看了電影上、下集。讀到導

演在拍片過程中不斷的找錢，不斷的跟投資者解釋與說服，

很辛苦也很誠實的把這些過程講出來，您覺得在這件事情

中，學習最多的是什麼？

魏─一部電影一個故事再好都要有人欣賞、被大眾接

受，我喜歡舉一個例子，就是10+10，電影行業也許是

10+10，或者10x10甚至10x100，但更有可能10-10，

找錢的過程面對投資者而言，是買空賣空的行業，許多老闆

只相信他相信的，跟他做過的，需要投資報酬率的佐證，真

的很難，也無法跟投資者保證，更不能完全控制在預算中，

並且每次都要從零開始解釋，即使台灣電影從2008年開

始以倍數成長，即使賽德克．巴萊看起來好像完成了一些什

麼，我們下一部片子「kano」嘉農棒球隊的故事，找錢依舊

是件困難的事情⋯

Q─魏導對於自己想要完成的事情都非常堅持，有目的、

有邏輯，請問在生命中，是否有影響您很深的人？

魏─這樣的人經常在我身邊出現，但我想這跟個性有關，

生活簡單、單純些，不要盲目追求名利！我的成長環境是無

憂無慮的，不算富裕但能無牽掛做想做的事情，進入這行業

時，會有很多人想要寫劇本，10個人想，可能5個人寫出

來，真正拍出來也許只有3個，因為大家會顧慮很多事情，

總之可能是我頭腦比較簡單吧！反正就是不要想太多，做就

是了，每天眼睛張開就是處理應該要努力的事情，複雜的事

情不要想太多，化繁為簡，一次一次的嘗試！

並相信著，

放棄會比堅持還要難。

魏導分享講座中，字字句句皆引起許多夥

伴共鳴，我想，這就是「素質的心。下雨，

打傘；雨停，收傘。」一種對人生的態度與

哲學吧！魏導話鋒一轉，談到台灣電影現

階段的蓬勃發展，他樂觀其成卻也希望觀

眾們能夠好好深思，真正經典的電影是必

須在商業與藝術間平衡發展，魏導帶著點

激動的說：「我的公司叫做「果子電影」，我

跟大家保證，只要是「果子電影」出品的都

是好電影！」語畢，全場響起支持的掌聲，

這句話彷彿一股力量，給了大家勇氣，魏

導堅定的語氣與眼神更讓人感動，該做就

做，不輕易說放棄，夢想會讓人充滿勇氣

而偉大！

魏導當天穿的飛魚T恤，是對飽受風災摧殘的蘭

嶼居民致敬。貼近觀察魏導本人，就像是「牧羊

少年奇幻之旅」少年般真實呈現，害羞靦腆卻堅

持追尋屬於他的「法諦瑪 Fatima」，沙漠的風揚

起，整個世界都在幫助他⋯礁溪老爺全體同仁祝

福他與他的團隊，期待嘉農甲子園新作豋場！

夢をみる映画監督－魏徳聖 素直な心。雨が降ってから、傘をひらく。雨が止んでから、傘を閉じる。蘭嶼の飛び魚Tシャツとジーンズの格好、普通なバックパックで、素直な心を持って、一見普通なある人は、好奇心たっぶりで礁溪ロイヤルのロビーの芸術品－はごを見ている。声を掛けた我々に振り返って微笑むその人は、国際的に有名な映画監督－魏徳聖氏である。

まだ残暑が厳しいあの日に、心がドキドキする緊張状態で、仲間と一緒にスーパースターを待ち合わせる単なるファンになっていた。映画「賽徳克・巴萊（セデック・バレ）」が上映するとき、熱血な沈方正総経理は映画館を貸し切って、社員全員にその超大作歴史映画の鑑賞を招待してもらった。以来、我々は魏監督に対して憧れることになり、講演などの要請は夢のように考えられなかった。ただし、長い間に何回も太平洋を越えるメール、電話の交渉してから、その不可能を可能にさせた。プルルル……要請を応じる一本の電話からロイヤルでの魏監督の講座の準備を始めた！

会場は早くて満席となり、VIP、学生、大学教授、芸術家、地元歴史研究家など、そうして礁溪ホテルの仲間たちおよそ200名の参加者は憧れの監督が壇上に上げてからすぐ熱烈な拍手と歓声をしてもらった。いつも素直な監督はちょっと恥ずかしい笑顔で皆さんに「講演というのは重々しくて、緊張しますね。僕の講演恐怖症が発症しないように、質問と回答の形でしませんか。」と言う瞬間、雰囲気が落ち着くことになった。いまでも人前に出るのが苦手な監督だが、情熱を注ぐ映画製作を話し始めると、強い目線と伝われる情熱は光のように皆さんを魅了した。

講座の質問と回答のまとめ：問:映画「賽徳克・巴萊（セデック・バレ）」を製作するとき、数多くの紆余曲折に遭って、この先の道も不透明だったが、どうやって不透明の中に目標を設定し、製作スタッフをリードし順調に製作を完成したか。画面のいいタイミングはどう把握するの？役者の気持ちは？それに関わるリーダーシップは？答：映画は夢見る産業であり、お金を稼がない産業でもある。なのにたくさんの人々はこの仕事を続ける。なぜか？この仕事が面白いからだ！他人のために何かできるかということだ。それは僕一人のおかげではなく、誰かに影響を与えて、さらにその人はほかの人に影響を…みんな集まって課題を解決し、何回も不可能なシーンを

撮って、困難を乗り越えて、情熱がよく出てきた！最初の本心はただ台湾史上最大予算の映画製作に参加したかったのに、最後までいっぱいの難関を一緒に乗り越えてくれたのだ。ずっとそう思っている。大切ないい仕事をやると、勇気が出てきて、そうして仲間が増えれば増えるほど、夢を信じてから、堅持より放棄が難しいぞ！問：自分がやりたいことにいつもこだわりと持って、目的とロジックきちんと決めている監督にとって、一番深い影響を与えてもらう人はいるのか？答：このような方々はよく僕の周りにいるよ。やっぱり僕の性格と関係あるよね。シンプル、単純な生活で、名誉とカネはあまり追求してないのだ。お金持ちじゃないが、やりたいことをできるのが満足だ。この業界に入る若者には、脚本家になりたい人が多いだね。10人のうちに脚本を完成するのがただ5人がいて、さらに映画まで完成できるのは、うちの3人しかいないと思うのだ。その訳は、皆が仕事をするときに考えすぎではないか。とにかく考えずにやろう！毎朝目覚めてから努力すべきのことを確実にやって、複雑なことは心配無用だ。仕事をシンプルに、何回も試してみてください！

監督の言葉は、仲間たちのたくさん共鳴を引き起こしてもらった。それは「素直な心。雨が降ってから、傘をひらく。雨が止んでから、傘を閉じる。」という人生の態度と哲学であろう！いま台湾映画界の発展を語る監督は、「本当のいい映画とは、商売も、芸術もバランス崩れないように両方向に発展すべきだ。」と強調し、「僕の製作会社は『果子電影』だね。皆さんと約束する。『果子電影』が製作する映画限り、絶対いい映画だと保証する！」とちょっと興奮しながら話した。最後皆さんは大きな拍手をして、いまの話から力と勇気をくれるように監督の強い意気と視線に感動した。やるべきことをやって、勝手にやめると言わなく、夢こそ人間に勇気を与えて、偉くさせるのである。

後記：講座当日監督が着用する飛び魚Tシャツは、今年台風に襲われた

蘭嶼の住民に応援の意を表すのである。監督の本人をよく観察すると、小説「アルケミスト－夢を旅した少年」の主人公のように、恥ずかしがり屋だが彼の「ファティマ」をずっと追いかけ、全世界の人々に助けてもらうようになった。礁溪ロイヤル社員一同、監督とスタッフたちをこころからお祈りを致し、新作の「嘉農甲子園」

（仮）を期待する。

Cinematic Dreamer Te-sheng Wei

A simple heart. In rainfall, open umbrellas; when the rain stops, fold up

the umbrella. A pure and simple heart, a practical person, wearing an

unpretentious Orchid Island Flying Fish T-shirt and bluejeans, carrying a

backpack, looking with intense curiosity at an artistic installation in the Grand

Lobby of the Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi- a traditional Chinese foot shuttlecock,

listening to our voices, and smiling our way as he turns around… it’s none

other than the world renowned director- Te-sheng Wei!

We still recall the warm autumn heat as if a tiger lying in wait to prey with

a certain arrogant confidence, with very high blood pressure in the intense

environment, my colleagues and I were like the dedicated groupies of a

superstar… then recalling seeing Seediq Bale as a generous gift from our ever

warm hearted CEO Fangcheng Shen who invited all our hotel staff to watch

this historic epic film. At the time, Te-sheng Wei, was just another famous

director, and we never imagined we could succeed in inviting him to share

with us at the Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi… but this mission impossible, after a

lengthy wait, and letter after letter of correspondence, followed by phone calls,

and across the Pacific and practically after circling the globe, the day finally

arrived! Bell ring, the phone rang, and soon we could announce the arrival of

Te-sheng Wei to speak at the hotel, bringing another momentous occasion to

the Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi!

In the conference room, it was a packed house of more than 200 in

attendance with not an empty seat, as VIPs, young students, college faculty,

artists, historians and our Hotel Royal Chiao Hsi staff. When you finally see

someone you’ve long admired for the first time, everyone burst out in a loud

round of applause! But ever the practically hearted, the shy director, Te-sheng

Wei, wryly laughed, replying: Let me just take your questions, and I’ll respond!

Formal speeches always leave people feeling anxious, and I was afraid I would

feel nervous at giving a speech, but suddenly some simple remarks relaxed

the atmosphere… so even while this director still feels a little nervous in public

speaking, but as soon as he starts speaking about his fervent dedication to

cinematographic creativity, his eyes evince a steadfast devotion emitting

his perspicacity, as if a light piercing the soul, which surprises and subdues

everyone.

The following is a simple summary of the event’s lively discussion:

Q: Director Wei, while filming Seediq Bale, you encountered many obstacles in

the pre-production and post-production phases, and even as for your future

as a director you have some uncertainty, so how do you select your target,

and organize a dedicated, professional team, to work with you in swimming

against the tide, climbing over the mountains in the way, and also demand

that the filming is perfect? Are you always emotionally invested on the set?

How can one develop this kind of leadership?

Te-sheng Wei: The film industry has always been stimulated by dreamers,

and mostly an unprofitable field of endeavor! But still there are those dedicated

dreamers, who continuing the effort, proving how interesting the field really

can be, and how it contributes to oneself or the community, so it’s not merely

a matter of one’s individual work, or it may be how the effort has influenced

another, and then how they have gone on to inspire someone else! When

a team effort resolves a matter, time and time again generating impossible

scenes and overcoming challenges, they can’t help but be motivated! Perhaps

it was their desire to take part in the largest production effort ever in Taiwan,

and as we overcame each difficulty, I became more convinced that doing

something important would require courage, and as more colleagues share in

that belief, abandonment becomes more difficult than continuing on!

Q: Director Wei is totally dedicated to the things he hopes to accomplish,

having an agenda, and logical plan, so in your life, have you been particularly

deeply impressed by any persons or mentors?

Te-sheng Wei: Such persons have often appeared in my life, but this is

probably related to me personality, I live a simple life, uncomplicated, and do

not worry about achieving fame or fortune! The environment in which I was

raised was a comfortable one, not well-off, but sufficient enough to be able

to do the things I really wanted to, so when I began filmmaking, there were

lots of people who perhaps dreamt about writing a script, say ten people had

this dream, but only 5 would actually write a script, and only 3 would really

be produced as films because everyone has to consider the practical side of

things. Or maybe I just think simpler than others!

The main thing for me is to not think too much about things, just do what can

be done, opening my eyes in the morning with gratitude to be able to do the

tasks which await my effort, and not worrying about complicated matters,

simplifying the complex, or trying to one at a time!

Te-sheng Wei: As Director Wei shared throughout the lively discussion,

every word and phrase inspired our colleagues, who thought, this is truly

an expression of a “simple heart. In rainfall, open umbrellas; when the rain

stops, fold up the umbrella”, an attitude to life and a philosophy of living! As

Director Wei’s words redounded around the audience, enthralled by the living

presentation on the current state of Taiwan’s filmmaking, as he expressed a

positive attitude and hoped the audience would profoundly consider, that a

truly classic film must manage to achieve the eloquently delicate balance of

both commercial and artistic achievement. He also spoke quite emotionally

when remarking: “My film production firm is called ARS Film Production, and

I promise each of you, as long as it’s a ARS Film Production, you can be sure it

will be an excellent one!

After finishing, accolades from the audience thundered across the hall, as

these words generated real inspiration, giving us all a sense of courage, as

Director Wei’s tone and gaze moved the audience, to do what ought to be

done, and never to easily give up, as dreams are what allow our courage to

give us strength!

Remarks:

The Lanyu (Orchid Island) Flying Fish T-shirt that Director Wei was

wearing reflected his sense of unity and respect for the losses suffered

by the indigenous residents who had suffered through a recent storm.

Seeing Director Wei up-close, has been like watching a young shepherd

daydreaming, whose dreams somehow come to life, yet reluctant through

humility, still continuing to search for his Fatima, as the desert sands arise, and

the entire world rises to his aid… so too the entire staff of the Hotel Royal Chiao

Hsi wish him and his entire team all the best, anxiously awaiting to see their

latest productions!
