In paperpile, configure Proxy connections meaning that you add your username/password for the medical library here. Now, when you search for articles in PUBMed, if your library has access to that medical journal, it will automatically download the full text pdf for that article right into paperpile. This is a huge time-saver. Full text pdfs with just one click when importing from PUBMed.
Steps to Add Citation Using Paperpile in Google Drive
1. Using one of two paperpile plug ins – click “insert citation” once cursor is placed where new citation is desired

Steps to add citations to a paper on google docs If using google docs, add paperpile plug in so it is on the tool bar at the top of the page. This way multiple people can add to a document and add resources from their paperpile folders – allowing mutliple contributers with recognizable citations from paperpile to allow for formatting at another time or reformatting. Steps to inserting a citation: Using one of two paperpile plug ins – click insert citation once cursor is placed where new citation will be inserted Search paperpile folders for citation Add citation Citation pops up in a last name and date format that can be recognized by Paperpile for reformatting later

Add citation – at this point you can add multiple citations by searching your folders and choosing them before “adding citation” When formatting this string of citations then will be formatted correctly as a group. The beauty of Google Docs is that multiple people can work on an article AT THE SAME TIME, and it tracks changes, comments, etc. No version control problems, and no need to wait for someone else to finish and email it to you, before working on your piece.
Step 4. Citation is inserted into paper in a recognizable format by paperpile to allow for formatting of bibliography
