Cuts repo rate by 25bps i.e. from 8% to 7.75% and reverse repo
rate by 25bps i.e. from 7% to 6.75%.
CRR of scheduled banks is also reduced by 25bps to 4% from 4.25%

SLR is kept unchanged at 23%.

Proposal for increase in the money that banks have to
set aside for restructured loans.
From April 1, 2015, banks have to set aside 5% of theloan value as provision towards that loan going bad,
instead of the 2.75%
Increase will be in a phased manner to 3.75 by end of
2013-14, and to 5 percent by 2014-15.

Slashing the annual budget because of poor financial
health of the economy.
Tribal Affairs Minister V Kishore Chandra Deo refused
to get into specifics but said "if such a huge cut is done
in the budget for a ministry like his, then hardly
anything will be left for it".
Defence Ministry also suffered a cut of Rs 12,000 crore

India has lost a whopping USD 123 billion in black money
during in last decade
As many as 13, 871 STRs were dispersed by the FIU-Ind during
2011-12.
10,956 were passed on to CBDT
1,615 to Enforcement Directorate
1,130 were shared with CBEC, DRI and DGCEI
117 STRs were shared with Securities and Exchange Board of India
( SEBI) 51 with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and
2 with Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority ( IRDA).
