    What is a MassCommunication

    Specialist?Mass Communication Specialist (abbreviated as MC)

    is a United States Navy occupational rating.

    Mass Communication Specialists are concerned

    with public aairs and visual communication. Their

    role is to present the US Navy to Naval and civilian

    audiences, through a variety o media. MCs write

    and produce both print and broadcast journalism,including news and eature stories or military and

    civilian newspapers, magazines, television and radio

    stations. They record still and video photography

    o military operations, exercises, and other Navy

    events.

    For ve years, Petty Ocer 2nd Class Cayman San-

    toro has worked in the Washington D.C. area and in

    Crete, Greece providing photographic support to

    Navy events, designing Newsletters and Magazinesand promoting creative infuence to put orward the

    best product.

    He was honorably discharged on December 27,

    2011 in tow with 2 Navy Achievement Medals, A

    Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon,

    National Deense Ribbon , Global War on Terrorism

    Activity Souda Bay or a routine portvisit. Florida is deployed in the U.S. 6th

    Fleet area o responsibility.

    Class Breck Brown inspects the engine trough o a Lockheed EP-3 Joint

    Airborne Signals Intelligence Architecture Modernization Common Congu-

    ration (JCC) Program spiral one aircrat during an engine change. Brown is

    assigned to the Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron (VQ) 2 detachment rom
