July 2012
PRINCIPAL’S REPORT Dear Parents, Last week the netball team played valiantly against Eleebana demonstrating great sportsmanship and enormous enthusiasm for their sport with a match score of 30-33, Eleebana’s way. Congratulations girls, you did a great job. Congratulations to the boys who are playing in the Knights Knockout competition. They were successful in last week’s semi-final and now go on to contest the final in Penrith next week. Well done boys and thank you to Mr Manning and Mr Ballard for the coaching efforts! All of our participants in the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition also deserve to be congratulated. To Daniel P in 6T who came 3rd in his section and was highly commended, and Tors Webster in 4W who came 2nd in his section, well done boys. The Boys’ Soccer team also competed in a Gala Day, well done boys! Mr Roberts was proud of you. Next week is Education Week and our school is planning to hold an Open Day on Wednesday 1st August to which parents are invited. There will be more details later in the newsletter. This term we welcome a new staff member to our school, Mrs Jenny Coughtrie. Mrs Coughtrie takes over from Mrs Smart, as our Learning and Support Teacher (LAST).
