My Dear People, What a joy it is to be with you all again! It is truly a joy to be back in Cass County! To all who helped me move in, to all who helped me get settled in, to our fine parish staff who have helped me begin to learn ‘the ropes,’ and to anyone and all who have offered kind words of encouragement: I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I look forward to the weeks, months, and years ahead! As a parish we are grateful for all who have worked so hard to prepare us for RAGBRAI weekend! To all of our visi- tors and guests-you are very welcome here and we hope that you return soon to see us again in Anita or Atlantic. Please continue to pray for the success of our Bell Tower project in Atlantic. Congratulations to all who worked so diligently for the recent improvements in Anita: the sanctuary carpet & sacristy paint job look fantastic. Please pray for me as I journey to California for the ordination of a dear friend this week to the priesthood. Please keep Deacon Joseph Squillacioti of the Diocese of Orange CA in your prayers as he becomes Fr. Squillacioti! Msgr. Beeson will be here for Masses next weekend and the office has my number and contacts for other priests in case assistance is needed. I leave Wed.
