An insight of the mind of Catherine Nguyen-Cat: thinking outside the box On serious day when Im designing a web banner

On a very bored day drawing dark humored illustration tends to be satisfying, inspired by my favourite cartoonist Andy Riley author of The Book of Bunny Suicides.

When Im in super serious digital painting mode. I enjoy playing around with a mixture of mediums and styles like the childish doodle art, floral prints, a simple beautiful photograph capturing a moment in time or manipulating photographs to create memorable imagery. Working on illustrations targeted at young children has been a long time goal and being taken on board for this project would ideally be a perfect learning opportunity. Recently I did a market research with YouthNet at Digitas LBi on pitching and presenting ideas to helping them develop their app for Young adults to uncover their employability skills. Discovering the joy of being involved in project that could potentially be revolutionary had inspired me to be more involved with education and building something to help the future generation.
