~ OFFERTORY COLLECTION ~

Many thanks for the Offertory

SEPTEMBER 13, 2020 $3,177.00

Your continued support is truly appreciated. Thank you!!!

90-DAYS NOW – FOR YOUR PARISH It is at times like these our faith reminds us that we are nev-er truly alone, even as we face unprecedented chal-lenges as a parish community. Though we are not able to join together in the celebration of the Eucha-rist, we continue daily to pray for the health of you and your loved ones. I am reaching out to you about an effort created by a member of the laity with con-cern for our parishes during this time of crisis. It is a special, 90-day campaign administered by the arch-diocese that will provide offertory support directly to the parish.

This special initiative asks, if possible, for parishion-ers to rally around their parish by making a special daily offertory commitment for the next 90 days. This effort is intended to supplement weekly offerto-ry gifts, given the challenges of the current crisis. Should you choose to join in this effort, the Archdio-cese has created an easy-to-use, safe and secure link to donate directly to your parish. HTTPS://BCATHO-LIC.SITES.BOSTONCATHOLIC.ORG/90DAYSYOURPARISH We are incredibly moved by this effort and forward this information for your consideration. We under-stand many of you may not be able to contribute to this special offertory collection given the economic impact this pandemic has had on your personal fi-nances. We remain extremely grateful for your pray-ers of support for our parish family. With our prayers, Msgr. Kevin

Offertory collections are dangerously low—55% below last year's. Please help us sustain the Ca-thedral parish by making your offertory online. Our Cathedral community is self-supported largely by your stewardship. We proudly maintain our new-ly-restored historic Church and offer many minis-tries and outreach to our neighbors. All of this has always been made possible through your participa-tion and generosity. During the pandemic, our offertory collections have decreased by 55%. We thank all who have sent in checks or transitioned to online giving—your support has helped. But there is still a major gap we must fill. To help keep our Cathedral, its services, and ministries operating we need your continued and renewed support. Can you give in one of these ways? Set up or consider a modest increase to your weekly or monthly offertory online. Made easy and simple at https://holycrossboston.churchgiving.com.Setup or Increase Your Online Giving » Join the "90 Days Now for Your Parish" move-ment with a special gift in addition to your offer-tory, if you're able. Our priests are often at the center of efforts that build

strong support systems for all of us. In addition to

their daily pastoral responsibilities, they help establish

social service organizations, offer spiritual support for first

responders, operate parish food pantries, and recently, in

response to the pandemic, put their lives at risk to provide

comfort and peace to those suffering with COVID-19.

Healthier priests build stronger communities. And the

Clergy Health and Retirement Trust (CHRT) is dedicated to

keeping our priests healthy.

This September, you can support the CHRT’s mission

by giving to the special collection at Masses on

September 19/20. Every gift makes a difference and is

a symbol of gratitude for all our priests who don’t just

observe need in our communities; they seek it out so

they can respond.
